Penelope came face–to–face with a pair of tiny eyes.

Blackie began to leisurely coil itself around her neck.

Penelope was startled, thinking, ‘Get away from me.

Before she could scream, Lucas stood his ground right in front of her, tilting his head up to stare at her.

He raised his hand, and Blackie, who had been wriggling and colling around her neck, suddenly stopped.

Everyone stood there, left speechless.

Lucas kept his face serious, hand still raised, and in a cute, babyish voice, he said, “Apologize.”

He thought, ‘I’m not a dummy. I can talk.

Penelope was confused.

Lucas stared at her coldly, wearing the same indifferent look as Sebastian. “Apologize to me.”

He pointed at Blackie. “Or it will bite you.”

Worried he might scare Stella, he turned his head away. A sweet mile appeared on his face.

Seeing this, Stella let out a soft laugh. Her white shirt made her face look even more pale in the sunlight. As her lashes fluttered, she “kindly” reminded Penelope, “This snake is venomous.”

Allan’s handsome face turned serious in an instant. He shot Sebastian a look, asking with his eyes what was up,

Sebastian just stared back with that icy gaze, making Allan shiver

Jaxon stepped out of the car and trailed just half a step behind him.

Celia, still reeling from the shock of Lucas actually talking, turned to Conrad. “Who is he?”

Carlos also looked over. He didn’t recognize the mixed–race guy but the dude’s vibe screamed big shot.

Conrad leaned in and whispered, trying to keep his excitement down, “He’s from Nova Group.”

Carlos froze. It took him a while to react.

Nova Group was the kind of powerhouse that could buy out a whole country, and even the Gray family couldn’t hold a candle to them.

He couldn’t help but remember that this year marked Nova Group’s tenth anniversary. The official website had already announced that the three founders would make their first public appearance together at the Nova Legends celebration
