The next moment, Stella whipped out her phone and played a short video showing someone messing with Camilla’s brake line. “Once we’re out of here, I’ll help you explain everything to the cops.
The reason you caused such a commotion was that you found out someone was trying to murder his wife for the insurance payout. Everything you did was self-defense, and your injuries are the proof!
Camilla’s gaze wavered. That was her 23 million dollars.
Camilla, do you really think you’re getting out of here? You’re holding someone at gunpoint! That’s a death sentence! Don’t let her trick you again! Vera, who’d been thrown out by the Mors family and had nothing left, screamed.
Camilla, who’d been hesitating, gripped the gun even tighter.
Stella just scoffed and turned her head with a mocking smirk.
Vera snapped, “What’s so funny?”
Vera wondered, ‘Is she really not scared at all?’
I’m laughing at how naive you are! Stella leaned her head on one hand. “Jaffina handed you the gun because they know all the blame will land on you.
If anything happens to me tonight, besides Camilla, you’ll be the next one they throw to the wolves.
Vera’s expression was one of utter disbelief. “What did you just say?”
It finally clicked, and Vera whipped her head around to glare at Brantley, as if she finally got what Stella was hinting at.
Stella smirked, “Did Brantley tell you to make Camilla the weapon to take me out, so you two could just sit back and collect the spoils?”
She withdrew her hand, stood up slowly, walked over to the cabinet, and coolly grabbed an open bottle of red wine, pourin it into a wine glass.
Go ahead, ask him. Would he dare drink this? Stella gripped the rim of the glass and lazily handed it to Vera.
Vera was frozen, staring at the wine glass in her hand. Even Camilla was shocked, looking at Brantley. ‘He’s really willing sacrifice his own sister?’ Camilla wondered.
‘Is there poison in this wine?’ Vera’s mind raced.
Brantley, drink it! Vera shouted, her voice finally breaking through.
Brantley said nothing, his eyes cold and poisonous as he stared down Stella.
Vera yelled, slapping him hard across the face, “Drink it!”
She tried to shove the glass toward Brantley’s mouth, determine to make him drink.
Get lost! Brantley snapped, his plan exposed. He knocked the wine glass aside, grabbed the gun from Camilla before she could react, and with bloodshot eyes, aimed at Vera and pulled the trigger.
Camilla screamed, “Are you crazy?”

Camilla lucked out. The bullet just caught her in the shoulder, then tore through and clipped a power outlet on the floor. With a sharp sizzle and a flash, the lights went out, plunging the room into dangerous darkness.
Mr. Gray! In the building opposite, everyone was left shell-shocked by what just happened.
Downstairs, the crowd was live-streaming the chaos on short video apps, and as the local trending list exploded, everyone’s group chats blew up with the footage.
At the same time, Landen, Victor, Levi, Blake, and the rest were all glued to their phones.
They couldn’t tear their eyes away.
Inside the rundown apartment building, Declan frowned as he stared at his phone.
The lights went out, and everyone froze, holding their breath in he sudden darkness.
Bruce was getting nervous. “Mr. Gray?”
Sebastian said, “Just wait.” His voice was calm and icy.
He trusted her.
Harsh, heavy breathing filled the room.
Even though she was in agony, Camilla pressed her hand over her mouth, hiding behind the couch, afraid to make a single noise. Brantley was losing it, screaming at the top of his lungs, “Get out! Both of you, get the hell out!”
Camilla was as skittish as a scared rabbit, her eyes darting around, desperate to spot Stella.
The next second, Stella let out a soft laugh. With a loud swish, the half-closed curtains were yanked open from inside.
Pale moonlight flooded through the floor-to-ceiling windows, washing the room in cold, silvery light.
Stella stood in the mix of light and shadow, the hazy moonlight wrapping her in a soft, dreamlike glow.
Hands up! Brantley barked, gripping the gun with one hand and dragging his injured leg, his face twisted in a vicious snarl.
Stella smiled calmly, raising her hands in surrender, her expression never wavering.
But one of her hands stayed curled, her fingers wrapped around something, hiding it from view.
Brantley narrowed his eyes. “What’s in your hand?” His voice was tense with suspicion.
Stella slowly loosened her grip, and a necklace, white and pink diamonds woven together, slipped from her grasp dangled in the air.
Camilla, crouched behind the couch, stared in shock. “That necklace is- Even Brantley’s mind blanked for a second.
The diamonds glinted like stars in the moonlight.

Chapter 346
Brantley was in total shock.
Stella spoke up, cool as ever. “The Clinton family, huh?”
Brantley and Camilla thought, ‘When did she figure it out?’
How did you know? Brantley demanded, closing in with the gun the barrel nearly touching Stella’s forehead.

But Stella just sighed, her tone full of meaning. “If I remember right, when I came in, I already told you. The Burke 43 only holds four rounds.”
Brantley froze for a moment.
One round, right here. She pointed at the floor by the door.
Another one, here. She pointed at Vera.
One more, here. She pointed at Camilla, who was still hiding behind the couch.
And the last one? Stella tapped Brantley’s leg. Right then, a sharp red laser dot flickered outside the window.
Bang! The sniper’s shot smashed through the glass, splintering it into a spiderweb of cracks. Brantley didn’t even have time to react. He just collapsed backward, hitting the floor hard.
Ah! This time, Camilla couldn’t hold back her terror anymore and screamed at the top of her lungs.
Only Stella remained standing, her hand slowly dropping to her side, her gaze cold and indifferent as she looked down at the floor. “You’re out of bullets.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the cops rushed in like a storm
Stella raised her hand to stop anyone from helping her, turned her head, and looked through the spiderwebbed window toward the building opposite.
The glass, unable to take any more, shattered and rained down on the floor.
