“I need to check if I’m dreaming!” Zack blurted out, then started laughing as he’d totally lost it.

Tripp snapped, “Why don’t you slap yourself instead!”

“Duh! Slapping myself doesn’t even hurt!” Zack shot back.

Tripp was left speechless.

Meanwhile, Houston was still fired up. He said, “You bunch of ingrates! Stella handed you sixteen Rhaesia Invitations, and what did you do? You called her shameless and tried to kick her out. Pathetic! You’re not even worthy!”

Everyone was totally floored.

They thought, ‘Sixteen? Seriously? Stella gave out all sixteen?’

Everyone thought Edenbury Academy and Technical High School only got one Rhaesia Invitation each, but turns out it was eight for each side.

Even for Rhaesia University’s selection in Jaffina, every top school only got two spots. But Edenbury Academy, which was a total joke, and Technical High School, which was even worse, ended up hogging all sixteen spots for themselves.

Everyone thought, ‘Isn’t this totally nuts?’

Houston whipped his head around, the word “Young Sovereign” almost slipping out, but he swallowed it back at the last second. He said, “Stella, just say the word, and we’ll cancel every single spot! No way we’re letting these backstabbers join in!”

“Quiet down,” Stella said, her tone totally nonchalant.

Not only did Houston go quiet, but everyone else in the audience shut up, too.

Stella gave a lazy look around and asked, “Anyone else got a problem?”

Suddenly, a hand shot up.

It was Caiden.

Stella said, “Go ahead.”

Caiden swallowed nervously and finally asked the one question on everyone’s mind, “Stella, did you really graduate from Rhaesia University?”

Stella answered calmly, “Yes.”

Caiden pressed, “And those sixteen invitations, they’re actually real?” He could hardly believe it.

Stella paused for a moment.

She’d handed over a whole stack back then. She didn’t even count how many there were.

She turned to Zack, giving him a questioning look.

“Sixteen! For real! They’re the real deal!” Zack almost yelled, looking like he couldn’t believe it himself.

Zack and Tripp both pulled out eight invitations each from their pockets, moving in perfect sync.

Everyone was in shock.

Stella remained totally chill. “Yeah, they’re real,” she replied, as if it was nothing.

Zack and Tripp were still staring at her, looking so pitiful that they were about to cry.

“They’re all valid,” Stella said, just to make it clear.

With her words, everything was finally settled.

Houston let out a cold snort.

He thought, ‘Guess they got lucky.

Stella suddenly turned to Sebastian and reached out. She said, “Come here.”

Sebastian’s heart skipped a beat.

He stood up.

Stella said, “You want to know what Sebastian and I are?” She smirked, her gaze landing on Lila.

Lila held her breath, that hunted, powerless feeling washing over her all over again.

Stella’s fingertips brushed gently over the back of Sebastian’s hand, as if to reassure him.

“Come here. Bend down,” Stella said, arching an eyebrow.

Sebastian’s lips pressed into a thin line on that ethereal, almost unreal face.

But he still obeyed, lowering his head.

The next moment, Stella grabbed his tie and, right in front of everyone, kissed him, no hesitation, no holding back.

Everyone was totally stunned, and their jaws dropped.

Leonardo shouted, “Holy crap! Stella, you’re a total badass!” His whistle set the whole crowd off like fireworks; the place exploded.

The explosive uproar in the crowd didn’t bother Sebastian one bit. His lashes lowered, and those eyes, usually as cold and deep as a winter ocean, were now shrouded in a smoky, dreamy emotion.

Even his cool lips were stained with a flush from Stella’s kiss.

His heart was pounding out of control.
