Chapter 387
A muffled voice came from behind the mask. The man asked, “Need a fake ID?”
The elevator went up.
After a while, the doors slid open.

Stella lowered her fist with a blank face, calmly walked past the guy in the trench coat who was crouched on the floor, clutching his head, and pushed her suitcase out.
The guy in the trench coat let out a dramatic whine.
He thought, ‘Ouch, that hurts.’
“Stella, wait up!” The guy in the trench coat scrambled after Stella, nearly tripping over himself as he rushed out of the elevator.
In the hallway, Stella pushed Lucas, who was perched on top of the suitcase, with one hand, her other hand shoved in her pocket as she strolled forward like she owned the place.
Her room was the presidential suite on the top floor, with a killer view over all of Tongalia.
“Stella, it’s me, Cedar!” the man called out, practically buzzing with excitement as he reached to help with the
suitcase.
Stella just grunted and said, “No need.”
Cedar said, “If you say no, then no!”
He rubbed his hands together eagerly, practically wagging his tail.
He couldn’t have been more of a bootlicker if he tried.
“Stella, here are your and Callum’s medical licenses,” Cedar said, respectfully pulling two licenses from his chest and handing them over right at the door. The Dorestan Medical Alliance seal on them practically blinded one with its shine.
Stella took them with her usual calm.
Cedar’s eyes were practically sparkling, waiting eagerly for her next order.
Stella asked, “Anything else?”
Cedar shook his head vigorously.
Stella said, “Then you can go.”
Two streams of tears rolled down Cedar’s cheeks.

Chapter 387
He looked just like a puppy who’d been rejected, eyes shimmering with tears.
Stella said, “I’ll let you know if I need anything.”
Cedar’s face lit up in an instant. He threw her a quick salute and said, “Got it.”
Stella was speechless.

Half an hour later, in the hotel lobby, Stella lounged on the sofa, idly scrolling through her phone, while Lucas sat nearby, eyes sparkling as he played with Blackie.
Suddenly, Lucas froze and looked up.
The guy across from him quickly put a finger to his lips, signaling him to be quiet.
Lucas was just blank, totally spaced out.
A hand was about to reach for Stella’s shoulder from behind.
Suddenly, Stella, sounding lazy, tipped her head back against the sofa and said, “I’d think twice if I were you.” She met Emily’s gaze, who was now rocking a flowy, floral dress.
Emily flopped down next to her, immediately looping her arm around Stella’s. “Boring!” she whined, then paused. She asked, “But seriously, why?”
Stella gave a faint smile and said, “Trust me, you don’t want to know.”
Callum came downstairs not long after. “Mr. Gray’s not coming?” he asked.
He glanced around at Stella’s surroundings, raising an eyebrow in surprise.
Stella gave a short nod and tossed the license Cedar had handed her earlier to Callum. She said, “Take it.”
Callum instinctively caught it.
He glanced around nervously, then hurriedly stuffed the license into his pocket. He said, “Stella, let’s keep these fake licenses under wraps, alright?”
Lucas looked left, then right.
Then, the three grown-ups and Lucas strolled out of the hotel at a relaxed pace.
Upstairs in the room, five old men had gathered. Landen, who’d just learned to play PUBG, was already addicted even though he sucked at it. “One more round!” he shouted.
At the table nearby, Paul was happily digging into the takeout that Emily had ordered for him.
Suddenly, Dashiell’s face grew serious.
The other four automatically turned to him.

“What’s up, Dashiell?” Jareth asked.
Dashiell lifted his hand and started a quick fortune reading.
His face got even harder to read.
Landen blurted out, “What’s going on?”

Dashiell stroked his white beard, started to say, “According to my fortune reading, it looks like Stella is in for something special tonight!”
The other four exchanged glances.
Dashiell chuckled mysteriously, his tone playful. He said, “Big fish eat little fish, little fish eat shrimp. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!”
With Callum leading the way, the group soon found themselves at the bustling night market just a stone’s throw from the hotel.
Fashionistas strutted past, their gazes lingering on Stella, Emily, and Callum. A few talent scouts even stepped up, handing out business cards, hoping they’d just stumbled on the next big thing.
“Is that really the Ms. Carter the Yates family keeps hyping up?” Torin said, sounding bored. They’d been tailing Stella since the hotel lobby, and honestly, she didn’t seem all that impressive.
Ansel was just as bored, chewing on a fish cake, barely even paying attention.
The Yates family talked about\ Stella nonstop. the Ravenshade crew had heard it so much they were sick of it.
“That girl in the dress has been snacking on those floral cakes the whole way, and she can still keep eating?” Torin blurted out, genuinely amazed.
Stella strolled along, holding Lucas’s hand. The front of the market was buzzing, but the stalls in the back selling antiques were pretty dead.
Lucas was munching on a cake, his cheeks puffed out like a little squirrel.
Callum, rocking a black mask and thick glasses, trying to go incognito, pointed toward a spot not far away. He said, “Just up ahead is the famous-”
But before he could even finish, Stella was already making a beeline for a nearby stall and stopped dead in her
tracks.
Callum followed Stella over.
As Callum got closer, he saw what Stella was looking at.
A bunch of beat-up old antiques.
Callum leaned in, dropping his voice. He said, “Ms. Carter, this stuff’s all just for scamming tourists. Don’t fall for it.”
