They stood there, dumbfounded, just staring at the scene before them.

They were so stunned, words failed them.

Stella took the glass with total composure, her eyes sliding right past Cedar to lock onto Soleil. She lifted her glass lazily, almost like she was toasting Soleil just to mess with her. She said, “Well, look who it is. We meet again.”

She smirked, lips quirking up in a playful, taunting arc.

Soleil fumed inwardly, ‘She is so doing this on purpose! She’s totally showing off!’

She was so mad that she nearly shattered her teeth from clenching her jaw.

Seeing this, Reuben was about to stand up for Soleil, but before he could even open his mouth, Stella just turned to Cain and said, “Go handle your stuff.” Her tone was so nonchalant, like she was just bossing around one of her own people.

Reuben thought, ‘What the hell am I supposed to say now?’

Everyone was totally numb by now.

Cain nodded and started walking away, but Truett, his hand still awkwardly hanging in the air, blurted out on impulse, “Cedar.”

The air instantly froze.

Emily, who had just snapped back to reality and was about to take a sip of coffee to steady herself, almost did a spit-take right then and there.

Even Truett’s mentor looked totally freaked out, and the other big shots nearby looked like they’d just seen a ghost.

Everyone was thinking, ‘Did he seriously just do that?’

Cain stopped dead in his tracks.

Just his back was enough to make everyone’s heart skip a beat, as a storm had hit out of nowhere.

He turned back.

Cain’s face was stone cold as he said, “What did you call me?”

His vibe was so intense that it felt like the whole room was about to implode.

Truett’s knees went weak; he nearly dropped to his knees right then and there.

He looked like he’d been done dirty.

He thought, ‘Wasn’t it he who said so, calling him Cedar?’

“Are you full?” Stella asked, her voice calm and casual, instantly shattering the suffocating tension in the room.

Lucas nodded enthusiastically, his little hands pushing the sweetest strawberry he’d saved just for her.

His eyes were shining bright.

He was just too cute; Stella just couldn’t resist and gave his chubby cheek a gentle pinch.

Lucas instantly snuggled closer.

His eyes got even brighter, practically glowing.

If happiness had a shape, Lucas would be floating in a sea of sparkling, starry strawberries.

Stella stretched and got to her feet, shooting Truett a cold, uninterested look.

Truett felt a chill run down his spine.

Stella said, “Western medicine’s got its advantages, and Clusia Traditional Medicine has its own thing going on. But at the end of the day, both exist to help patients.” She grabbed a napkin from a passing waiter and casually wiped her hands.

She added, “Patients don’t care about who brags the most; they care about who can actually save their life!”

Truett thought, ‘She’s totally talking about me.

‘All because of that lecture I gave Emily just now!

With that, Stella walked right by Truett without another look.

Carmelo deliberately lowered his head, trying to avoid her.

But Stella stopped right in front of him, turned her head, and said, “Callen, right?”

Carmelo looked up, his face dark and menacing. “You got it wrong. My name is Carmelo,” he spat out each syllable, sharp and cold.

Stella gave a faint, almost mocking smile.

To Carmelo, it was like a slap in the face.

Stella casually tossed her used napkin into the trash can right next to him, and for a moment, Carmelo couldn’t shake the feeling that he was the real garbage here.

“Until next time,” Stella said, her voice loaded with meaning as she strode out of the restaurant.

She never looked back.

Quinto and the others just stood there, watching her walk away; their faces couldn’t get any uglier.

Stella hadn’t said a word, but it was like she’d maxed out the mockery level; every single Herbal Medicine Guild member was left unable to hold their heads up.

Soleil gritted her teeth, practically spitting out the words, “She did that on purpose!”

This time, even Reuben’s face turned ugly.

Quinto’s gaze was downright sinister.

For a long moment, the elevator was silent.

Emily shifted to face Stella and said, “Stella, thanks.”

She knew perfectly well that Cain had greeted her first because Stella was backing her up and putting Truett in his place.

Stella held Lucas’s hand in one hand, her other hand lazily holding her phone. She looked up at Emily, her tone relaxed. She asked, “What?”

Emily said, “It’s nothing!” She hugged Stella, tilting her head to rest on Stella’s shoulder.

Emily thought, ‘Stella is the best.

‘She may look cold, but she’s got a heart of gold.’

When Stella came back to the suite with Lucas, Allan and Morgan were already there, and the laptop on the table was open.

It looked like the three of them had just finished talking, and none of them looked too happy.

Sebastian was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, and when he heard her voice, he turned around.

Stella glanced at Sebastian and asked, “What’s up?”

Sebastian said, “Monterra announced this morning that all Trent Pharmaceuticals drugs, along with Clusia Traditional Medicine, are completely banned in Monterra and all its allied countries.

“The moment the stock market opened today, Trent Pharmaceuticals’ shares plummeted and hit the trading halt.”

Stella paused, then reached over and turned the laptop screen toward herself.

She asked, “So the Trent family got wind of this early, which is why Charles was swapped out for Nathan on this trip to Tongalia?”

Her fingers glided lightly over the touchpad.

The moment the news broke about the sanctions and bans on Clusia Traditional Medicine and Trent Pharmaceuticals’ drugs, the stock prices of Tongalia’s so-called Herbal Medicine-related companies shot through the roof, making Trent Pharmaceuticals’ nosedive look even worse.

Two seconds later, Stella grabbed the phone and dialed the internal line.

“Nathan, bring Landen and Paul to the top floor. Now,” she ordered, her voice icy.

Soon, the three of them arrived at the top-floor presidential suite.

They’d obviously already heard the news. Even Landen, who was usually as lively as a monkey, now looked dead serious.

Trent Pharmaceuticals had lost over a hundred billion in just one morning, and all the shareholders were in
