Behind Stella, Dashiell, Halcyon, and Jareth’s eyes flashed with anger, their brows furrowed sharply.

They were just about to send that clueless idiot Dexter sprawling for his insolence when Stella shot them a nonchalant look. Instantly, the three elders froze in place.

“You brought her here! Is this payback for last time? If you’ve got a problem, come at me. Don’t be so pathetic…” Dexter ripped off his sunglasses, his gaze icy and dangerous, eyes sharp as blades.

His big hand lunged forward, aiming to grab Stella’s wrist.

But in the very next instant, Stella, just as cold as when they first met, suddenly let out a sigh. Her long lashes lifted, and a subtle smirk tugged at her lips.

Before any of the other candidates could react, she raised her hand, pulled the silver hairpin from the back of her head, spun it between her fingers, and stabbed it right at Dexter’s eye.

Everyone was stunned.

“Dexter!” Sophie screamed, clapping her hands over her mouth in horror.

Everyone was totally shocked by what just happened.

All Dexter could see was Stella’s gorgeous, wavy hair spilling down like a waterfall. She looked absolutely stunning.

Just as the tip of the hairpin was about to stab into Dexter’s eye, his pupils shrank in terror, and he instinctively stumbled backward in a panic.

Dust flew everywhere. The whole place went dead silent.

Even the tabloid reporter hiding in the shadows was left speechless.

Everyone held their breath.

Stella casually spun the silver hairpin between her fingers, her beautiful face cold as frost, lips curled in a half- smile, half-smirk. Just watching her made everyone’s heart pound.

Stella’s eyes dropped, cool and unreadable.

“Been spying for ages. Getting tired yet?” Stella’s voice was icy and casual.

The tabloid reporter’s heart skipped a beat. He spun around, ready to bolt, but Halcyon was already behind him, gripping his shoulder before he could move.

Halcyon shoved him forward with a bang.

“And you…” Stella twirled her hairpin and pointed it at the girl who splashed water earlier. “Did you enjoy yourself?”

Stella smiled. “Think carefully. Rhaesia University only gives you one shot at the test,” she said, her voice calm but chilling.

The girl who threw the water was at a loss for words.

Her eyes flickered with panic as she kept backing away, step after step.

“I… I just…” she stammered, her voice trembling.

Stella stepped over Dexter, still sprawled on the ground, and advanced on the girl. “Just what?”

Her presence was commanding.

She was so intimidating that every student there froze in place, instinctively holding their breath. Nobody even dared to breathe too loudly.

“Stella! I forgive her!” Sophie suddenly stepped forward, her face delicate and pale, like a flower battered by rain. With her blood disorder, she looked even more fragile and shattered than usual.

“Don’t make things harder for her! I don’t want this tiny mistake to mess up her whole future!” Sophie pleaded.

Stella started clapping, slow and deliberate.

As soon as Sophie finished, Stella let out a soft laugh and applauded her for speaking up. Her cool, light- colored eyes settled on Sophie. “Sophie, I guess this is our first real meeting.”

Sophie was confused. Her heart skipped a beat.

Before Sophie could react, Stella spoke again, her voice calm and mysterious. “I look forward to our next meeting.”

With that, Stella didn’t even bother to look back at anyone else. She strode straight toward the gates of Jattina University, cool and unyielding.

Dashiell, Halcyon, and Jareth followed close behind, their steps respectful and unwavering.

It finally hit Sophic. She whipped her head around, her voice barely above a whisper, shaky with surprise. “Wait, are you here for the Rhaesia University entrance exam, too?”

Stella didn’t even acknowledge her and didn’t bother to look her way.

“The main gate isn’t open for candidates yet!” Sophie blurted out, panic rising in her chest. Everyone turned to stare at Stella’s back, but she just kept walking, not slowing down for a second.

Stella calmly lifted her hand. She swiped her card.

But with Dashiell, Halcyon, and Jareth standing in the way, nobody could see what kind of card Stella actually swiped. Then, out of nowhere, something unexpected happened.

The tightly sealed automatic doors parted with a hiss, sliding open to both sides.

Everyone fell into silence. Shock was written all over their faces. No one could even utter a word.

The iron gates slid shut behind Stella, erasing any trace of what had just happened.

Never looking back, she strode ahead with cool confidence and, with effortless grace, pinned the badge she’d just used at the gate onto her left collar.

Unlike the other staff, who wore dark green badges, Stella’s was black with gold lettering, the mark of the highest-ranking examiner at Rhaesia University.

But everyone behind her was completely oblivious to this scene.

Soon, the Jaffina University official hurried over. “Ms. Carter…”

Stella kept her eyes fixed ahead, cutting him off with a cool tone. “Skip the pleasantries. You…” She issued her command, her voice icy and leaving no room for argument.

The official’s heart skipped a beat. “Understood.”

At the gate, everyone just stood there, staring at the closed iron gates, still dazed from everything that just happened.

The same question ran through all their minds: ‘How come she got in before everyone else?’

Sophie especially just stood there, eyes glued to the locked gates of Jaffina University, her hands trembling. She couldn’t stop replaying Stella’s words in her mind: “I look forward to our next meeting.”

She thought, ‘What did she mean by that?’

“Sophie.” Dexter struggled to get up, but before he could say another word, a school official and a couple of cops showed up out of nowhere.

The Jaffina University official frowned, staring hard at the girl who’d thrown the water.

After checking the surveillance footage and confirming it was her, his face darkened. “You’ve been disqualified from the exam. Hand over your Jaffina University pass.”

The girl was totally floored. “Why?”

She’d busted her ass to get an interview at Rhaesia University. She thought, ‘Flow could they just snatch it away like that?’

At that moment, she was freaking out inside, wishing she’d never taken that money or made such a mess.
