The car came to a stop.

Callum fell silent. He glanced down at the license plate on his phone, then looked up at the car in front of him. Seeing these people so hyped up, he was about to say something, but held back.

‘Did they get the wrong guy?’ Callum thought.

The back door swung open.

Stella was the first to step out, her head slightly bowing. Her earrings grazed her jaw. She was so breathtaking that everyone couldn’t take their eyes off her.

“Stella.” Callum rushed forward, but Karson was even quicker.

“Moon!” he called out.

Callum stopped in his tracks, watching as a bunch of big shots swept right past him without even a glance, all heading straight for Stella.

Callum froze in place, completely stunned.

Lucas scampered out from the other side and latched onto Stella’s hand, sticking to her like glue. He kept his little face all serious, looking surprisingly cute.

“Huh?” Karson suddenly caught on and turned to Callum. “What did you just call her?”

He pointed at Stella.

Callum looked blank. “Stella.” After a beat, he pointed at Stella as well. “And what do you call her?”

Karson replied, “Moon!”

They both exclaimed together, “You were waiting for her, too?”

“Nice to meet you, Mr. Gray,” Calvin greeted Sebastian. He stood there, stiff and respectful, not daring to utter a single word.

Sebastian gave a flat “mm” in reply. His aura was so overwhelming that the minister barely dared to breathe.

He watched expressionlessly as the heavyweights of the cultural relics and restoration world, all well into their seventies, swarmed around Stella.

They were usually so cold and proud, but now they were all beaming with smiles, bombarding her with questions like, “Are you hungry? Are you tired?”

Lachlan couldn’t believe his eyes.

Nobody knew better than him how stuck-up and high-maintenance these old guys could be.

Just like tonight, because they’d invited a bunch of celebrity influencers, these old-timers thought the whole event was getting hijacked, with the real focus on intangible cultural heritage totally lost. So, they all refused to show up.

But the moment it was confirmed that Stella was coming, Karson made one call, and every single big shot showed up voluntarily.

The production team didn’t even have to keep pestering or sending out invites.

‘Is this for real, or am I just dreaming?’ Lachlan thought.

“Stella…” Callum finally squeezed his way over, looking all pitiful.

“This is really too much,” Stella said, arching an eyebrow.

“You saved my grandpa, so you’re basically my lifesaver. That’s bigger than anything else!” Callum replied.

As he spoke, he handed her the Penn family’s century-old silver needles.

Stella was surprised.

She took the needles, passed them straight to John, and told him to put them in the car.

“Moon, let’s head inside, shall we?” Karson asked, rubbing his hands excitedly. No matter what, he was going to sit with her tonight.

He spun around to Lachlan and insisted, “Moon needs to sit at the main table!”

As soon as Karson said that, all the big shots turned in unison to glare at Lachlan. Lachlan felt utterly crushed by the weight of all those stares.

Lachlan replied, “Alright, get it!” As long as those guys didn’t make a fuss, he had no problem with that.

Inside the studio, the show hadn’t even started yet, but the back rows of the circular seating were already packed.

Up front, there were over a hundred VIP seats. While not everyone had arrived, the name tags were already neatly placed on the backs of the chairs.

At an event like this, every seat was assigned according to status and rank. Nobody dared to step out of line.

At that moment, Tallulah was surrounded by admirers in the lounge. Everyone was fawning over her like she was a queen. As the future lady of the Reed house and Clusia’s youngest and most stylish restoration expert, she was the star wherever she went.

“Mrs. Reed, the Clinton family and the Knight family couldn’t make it tonight. Looks like you’ll be sitting at the main table,” a few socialites were gossiping while fixing their makeup.

Tallulah was putting on her lipstick. When she heard that, she just gave a polite little smile without saying anything. She caught a glimpse of a chat on her phone.

After reading it, Tallulah transferred 600 thousand dollars without batting an eye.

Then she cleared out the chat history.

Tallulah was lost in her thoughts.

Maybe it was all the scheming going on in the Knight family lately, but now everyone was talking again about who would be the head of the Reed family.

Whenever this kind of thing came up, Allan’s name always ended up in the conversation again.

Tallulah frowned.

“By the way, a bunch of big shots from the relics restoration world just showed up. I wonder who they’re here for,” one of the socialites said, standing in front of the mirror to touch up her makeup.

“Wait, weren’t they all boycotting the event because it was packed with influencers?” another chimed in.

As if a lightbulb went off, all the socialites turned to Tallulah at once. “Wait, Mrs. Reed, did you invite them?”

After all, Tallulah was the only one among them who could actually get in touch with those big shots. She worked at the Restoration Department of the National Museum of Heritage, after all.

‘Like I could ever make that happen,’ Tallulah thought.

But instead of denying it, Tallulah just smiled, her words deliberately vague. “Well, I did give my mentor a

call.”

The socialite grinned, giving Tallulah a knowing look. “I knew it!”

There was a knock at the door.

“Time to take your seats,” a staff member reminded them as she pushed the door open.

The socialites quickly fixed themselves up and made their way down another hallway toward the auditorium, looking for the seats with their names on them.

“Mrs. Reed, looks like you got the center seat at the main table,” the socialite, wrapped in a Dior shawl, teased, pointing at the head table in the front row.
