"Feeling better?"
He gazed down at her, his dark eyes brimming with amusement. Lizetta shot him a spectacular glare.
Remington chuckled softly against her. "What other lessons does my girlfriend have for me? I'm all ears."
Lizetta rolled her eyes again in silent protest and turned her head away, refusing to look at him.
He was putting on a great show of being attentive, but he wasn't taking this seriously at all. He just kept distracting her with kisses and hugs.
But it was as if Remington could read her mind. The man grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up.
He positioned her so she was straddling his lap, then framed her small face with his hands.
"Everything you said, I've etched into my memory. Liz, trust me. From now on, no matter what happens, I will never hide anything from you again. Good or bad, we carry it together, alright? I will never make unilateral decisions or arrogantly assume I know what's best for you. I will tell you everything clearly and fully respect your wishes. Okay?"
He spoke with such absolute sincerity that the last of the anger lingering in Lizetta's chest finally evaporated.
She nodded. "Okay, but I'm recording that for evidence."
True to her word, the woman actually pulled out her phone, opened the voice memo app, and raised an eyebrow, gesturing for Remington to repeat himself.
Remington looked thoroughly amused, but his gaze remained endlessly affectionate as he solemnly repeated his vow.
Lizetta saved the recording and smiled.
"I am a generous ruler, so I'll let you off the hook this once."
"Thank you, my queen," Remington laughed. The man leaned back against the sofa, an expression of total adoration on his face.
Lizetta gave him a playful glare before her brows knitted together slightly.
"Where is Hanna now?"
Previously, everyone had told her that Hanna had accompanied Joseph abroad.

Does evil really triumph always above the good in this novel ? How comes Stella's evilness has no end? Does the author believes that by giving justice and importance to bad people like Stella will make this novel interesring? I am starting to lose my patience and ask when will the writer finally will realize that the protagonist is Lizetta and not Stella....
