Shattered Illusions Love Lies and Redemption (Lizetta and Remington) novel Chapter 1183

Remington ignored her protests, pressing her down as his searing kisses trailed from the hollow of her neck downward.

Panic surged through Lizetta, her voice trembling.

"Don't do anything crazy! No, we can't do this here, not now!"

She was frantic. Her grandparents were right next door.

The old Madden estate didn't have any special soundproofing. Sometimes, she could even hear the elderly couple coughing in the middle of the night.

Nelson had actually asked Jerome to hire someone to install extra soundproofing or move her bedroom upstairs.

But Lizetta had refused and wouldn't let them remodel.

Hearing her grandparents' movements at night gave her a sense of comfort.

By the same token, any noise she made would certainly not escape their notice.

The elderly couple might be frail, but their hearing was still perfectly sharp.

"If not now, then when? Do you find it amusing to torture me like this?"

He was clearly agitated as he grabbed her hand and pressed it against himself.

The immediate sensation against her palm made her face burn vividly.

She curled her fingers, shaking her head in apology.

"I didn't mean to tease you on purpose, I..."

"You didn't? If it wasn't on purpose, would I be in this state? What good does it do you to drive me insane?"

He refused to let her retreat or pull her hand away.

His large hand locked around her wrist, forcing her to feel his arousal.

Lizetta was forced to endure the increasingly dangerous aura radiating from him.

A fiery flush spread from her cheeks down to her toes. She turned her head away, not daring to meet his intoxicating, hunger-filled eyes.

As he spoke, the large hand lingering by her waist gripped her soft curves tightly, pulling her flush against his solid frame until there was no space left between them.

Lizetta's eyes were red-rimmed with guilt. She deeply regretted her actions.

She genuinely wished she could take it back. If she had known he'd be this furious and impossible to soothe, she would have bitten her tongue off before saying those words.

She looked up at him with pleading eyes.

"I was wrong, I really was. I promise I won't say it ever again, okay?"

Remington scoffed coldly. "Too late! The emotional damage has already been done. I don't accept verbal apologies."

With that, he buried his head against her, effortlessly pushing her loose loungewear all the way up to her waist.

The atmosphere instantly became thick with smoldering tension.

Right at that moment...

A muffled cough sounded from the next room, making Lizetta's toes curl in sheer terror.
