Quinn felt a bit embarrassed and was about to tell him not to bother, but the man was all action. Before she could even get the words out, he had already turned on the stove, opened the fridge, and pulled out her natural remedy packets.
Sitting on the sofa, Quinn watched the silhouette of the man moving gracefully around the kitchen.
Even dressed in a simple bathrobe, he exuded an aura of aristocratic elegance.
She couldn't explain it, but lately, whenever she looked at Raymond, he didn't seem like an ordinary bodyguard at all. There was an innate, commanding presence about him—a deeply ingrained nobility that felt even more mature and formidable than Dante's.
Quinn decided Tara Moore was absolutely ruining her mind.
Why else would she suddenly have this overwhelming urge to tackle him to the floor?
Just as her thoughts were spiraling into dangerous territory, Raymond walked over carrying a serving tray.
On it sat a steaming bowl of her remedy, and right next to it, two brightly wrapped fruit candies.
"How did you know I hate the bitter taste?"
Quinn's eyes turned into little crescent moons as she beamed at the beautiful, crystal-like candies.
Raymond pressed his lips together in a slight smirk, his expression practically screaming, 'I'm not blind.'
"Drink it."
He set the tray down on the coffee table in front of her.
Quinn picked up the porcelain bowl, staring at the pitch-black liquid inside and catching a whiff of its violently pungent smell.
Her delicate face scrunched up entirely, her nose wrinkling in disgust.
It took a monumental amount of mental preparation before she finally brought the bowl to her lips, tilted her head back, and forced it down.
Halfway through, she had to stop. She visibly shuddered, looking absolutely miserable.
This theatrical display happened almost every single time she had to take her medicine.
Watching her, a flicker of emotion rippled through Raymond's dark eyes—a mix of quiet amusement and undeniable affection.
He leaned forward, unwrapped one of the fruit candies, and said, "Open."
Quinn obediently parted her lips. A second later, the candy slipped onto her tongue, the sweet burst of strawberry instantly washing away the vile bitterness of the medicine.
"Mmm, so sweet! From now on, I demand this exact candy every time I take this stuff!"
Raymond shot her a sidelong glance. "Finish that one, then chug the rest of the bowl."
