"Okay."

Because Quinn had gone back to sleep, she didn't arrive at the studio until ten-thirty.

The shoot they hadn't finished yesterday was already underway. She headed straight to the set as soon as she walked in.

After their conversation yesterday afternoon, the photographer had fully grasped Quinn's vision, so most of the shots today came out beautifully. Only a few needed to be retaken, keeping the entire production moving at a brisk pace.

She spent her afternoon sorting through the final images, selecting the best ones, and having the team upload them to the studio's website for their upcoming seasonal launch.

At six in the evening, her phone rang.

The caller ID read Raymond, but it was Leo's voice that came through.

The little boy's sweet, soft voice instantly melted her heart.

"Mom, are you almost done with work?"

Quinn smiled. "Just about."

"Then come home soon! We're having grilled fish and BBQ ribs for dinner tonight, your favorites!"

The little guy sounded like a tiny adult, coaxing his mother to come home early.

"Okay, Mommy's leaving work right now!"

"Okay, see you soon, Mom!"

Once Leo finished, Raymond took the phone. "Drive safe. There's no rush, Leo and I are waiting for you."

"I know."

Quinn hung up, the smile lingering on her lips.

The sunset cast a warm orange glow across the floor-to-ceiling windows of her office. It was just a normal evening, but her heart felt incredibly soft.

Knowing Raymond and her son were waiting for her at home made her feel profoundly happy.

Even the breeze on her drive home felt cool and sweet.
