Oliver kept glancing nervously into the rearview mirror at old Mrs. Moretti in the backseat.
Her eyes were practically gleaming with an adrenaline-fueled excitement.
This was his first time being ordered to tail someone, let alone by the matriarch herself, and he was sweating bullets trying not to mess it up.
Noticing his divided attention, she snapped with sharp authority, "Oliver, keep your eyes on the road! If you lose him, I'll have your head!"
The driver jolted, instantly snapping his focus back to the asphalt, but his curiosity got the better of him.
"Ma'am, why exactly are we following Mr. Moretti?"
Old Mrs. Moretti let out a delighted chuckle. "He's going to meet my granddaughter-in-law. The brat has been keeping her a massive secret."
She knew Raymond would eventually bring the girl home, but patience had never been her strong suit. She refused to wait another second.
They trailed him flawlessly until Raymond's car pulled up outside Aura Studio.
Moments later, a stunning young woman with a radiant smile walked out and slipped into Raymond's passenger seat.
From a distance, old Mrs. Moretti couldn't even blink. The woman was draped in an elegant silk dress, possessing a luminous complexion and a breathtaking silhouette. Every single movement she made was pure grace.
"Oh, just look at that! My grandson has impeccable taste! She's got the looks, the curves, the class—she's flawless."
But her pride quickly morphed into mild annoyance. "He bags a stunner like her and decides to hide her from me?"
Oliver was just as shocked that their stakeout had actually struck gold.
"So, Ma'am, should we head back now?"
"Keep following them. Let's see where they're off to next."
She leaned back into the plush leather, deeply satisfied, but didn't forget to issue a warning. "Give them space. That boy is like a hawk."
"Understood."
She originally just wanted to see where Raymond was living, but this little espionage mission was about to drop the mother of all surprises.
After navigating through the city traffic, Raymond's car parked outside a high-end kindergarten.
Old Mrs. Moretti watched in sheer disbelief as Raymond and the woman walked out, hand-in-hand with a little boy who looked about two or three years old.
