The massive expanse of Springhill Estate felt hollow and cold. Raymond sat at his grand desk, a stack of corporate documents open before him, but minutes bled away without him turning a single page.

Sunlight streamed through the side window, casting half of his face in a warm glow while leaving the other half swallowed in shadows, making it impossible to decipher what he was thinking.

Ever since parting ways with Quinn the night before, the image of her conflicted, sorrowful eyes had branded itself into his mind, impossible to shake.

Standing nearby, Caleb gave a low report. "Boss, Ms. Yates just booked a ticket to Savannah. She's planning to track down the master embroiderer, Lorraine Ambrose."

Raymond clasped his hands together on the desk, his dark eyes brooding.

"Savannah."

He repeated the name softly, his thin lips pressing into a tight line.

He had promised not to crowd her, but he simply couldn't bring himself to abandon her completely.

Savannah was a complex city, and the Hayes family was currently watching her like a pack of starving wolves. He absolutely could not rest easy knowing she was traveling alone.

"Make the arrangements. Have a team protect her from the shadows. Make sure she doesn't notice them."

He paused, then added, "Also, reach out to Lorraine Ambrose. All we need is for Lorraine to clear her schedule for a single meeting. With Quinn's talent, she'll definitely earn Lorraine's admiration on her own."

Quinn was proud and incredibly capable. He only needed to smooth out the initial roadblock; she would effortlessly handle the rest.

While Quinn headed to Savannah, Leo was left in the care of Tara Moore and Lydia.

That afternoon, Tara wrapped up her work early and waited outside the kindergarten for the kids to be dismissed.

"Aunt Tara!"

The little boy spotted her from the line and came sprinting over with a massive grin.

"Leo!"

"Aunt Tara, you look so pretty today!"
