Chapter 137
At that moment, a mocking laugh rang out from the ring. “Hey, are you even a man?”
Dominic turned his head and saw Bennie leaning against the railing with a sneer as he stared at him.
Jessica’s eyes lit up. She tugged at Dominic’s sleeve. “Dominic, he’s insulting you!”
“I know.” Dominic nodded. “It’s time to transfer the money.”
Jessica bristled. “He’s insulting you! I’m angry too, and you’re not even mad. You’re really disappointing me.”
“Your disappointment has nothing to do with me.” Dominic shook his head and urged her to make the transfer.
“This is so infuriating!” Jessica snapped.
When she realized he would not budge, her anger only grew. She transferred 1,500 dollars.
After the money appeared in his account, Dominic nodded with satisfaction and turned to leave.
“Jessie, what kind of coward did you bring here?” Bennie jeered from the ring. “Haha, he’s way too weak!”
Bennie laughed shamelessly at Dominic’s retreating back.
Dominic frowned.
Bennie kept going. “His name’s Dominic, right? You really are a coward. Did your wife run off with someone else, and you still had to raise her bastard kid with your nose held? Hahahaha!”
Dominic suddenly stopped.
“Alright, alright, just go,” Bennie sneered. “Hitting you would just dirty my hands.”
The remark made Jessica scowl. Bennie’s words had crossed the line.
“Say less,” she said coldly.
Since the young woman had spoken, Bennie shut his mouth in embarrassment. Then he noticed Dominic turning back to look straight at him, and his heart skipped a beat.
Dominic walked back and stopped in front of Jessica, his expression calm. “If I injure him seriously, how should we settle it?”
Jessica’s eyes lit up. She patted her chest. “As long as no one dies, I can handle it. The same goes if he beats you up.”
Dominic said nothing. He turned around and stepped onto the ring, stopping directly in front of Bennie.
Bennie’s pupils contracted, and he snorted. “You should have stayed down. Since you dared to step up, you’ll soon learn what cruelty really is.”
He tossed a pair of boxing gloves toward Dominic.
Dominic let them fall to the floor and said calmly, “Bare fists.”
“What?” Bennie froze, and a ripple of shocked murmurs spread through the crowd.
In boxing, gloves protected both the wearer’s hands and, to some extent, the opponent. Fighting bare–handed caused far greater damage.
Bennie’s expression darkened. “Are you sure?”
“No need to talk.” Dominic removed his watch and phone and set them on the edge of the ring.
Bennie felt another jolt in his chest, but there was no room to retreat. He scoffed and pulled off his gloves.

The crowd erupted in cheers.
Jessica’s cheeks flushed as she clapped enthusiastically. “Dominic is amazing! Ben is amazing too!”
The two men faced each other in the ring.
The referee from the Wild Wolf Boxing Studio stepped to the center, waited for the moment, and brought his hand down sharply.
