ally, they had no money at the moment.
Both sides went over the details, and before they realized it, noon had arrived.
Dominic invited Andriana and Evan to lunch.
Andriana wanted to be respectful, so she stayed.
At the restaurant, she smiled and said, “Last time I was going to treat you, but you left in such a hurry, Mr. Fleming. Today is the perfect chance, so please let me treat you.”
The way she addressed him as “Mr. Fleming” created a noticeable shift in atmosphere.
Dominic was about to refuse, but Evan quickly spoke up. “Mr. Fleming, please don’t be polite. This meal should be on us.”
Seeing this, Dominic did not insist.
The lunch passed pleasantly for both host and guests.
After Andriana and Evan left, Dominic returned to the office with Jewel. His expression turned serious as he said, “We have a lot to do. First, we need to find a factory, set up production lines, recruit marketing staff for both online and offline channels, and establish official self–operated stores. At least one in each city. All of this costs money.”
Jewel looked energized. The challenges only fueled her enthusiasm. “JewelMed has about 8.5 million dollars in the account, and I have 7 million in private savings-”
“Your money is yours. JewelMed is JewelMed. They are two separate things,” Dominic interrupted calmly.
Jewel froze for a moment. His serious tone made her uneasy.
Dominic continued, “8.5 million dollars might cover the purchase of a factory, but it is nowhere near enough to build a production line. Based on Andriana’s requirements, the factory alone will cost at least 150 million dollars. Once we add recruitment, marketing, and advertising, we need to prepare 200-300 million dollars just to get this project started. Jewel, are you listening?”
“Uh… what did you say?” Jewel snapped back to attention, too embarrassed to ask again.
Dominic sighed and repeated himself.
Jewel said, “Then we can take out a loan. With JewelMed’s qualifications, securing a 300–million–dollar loan should not be difficult.”
“Alright, it’s settled,” Dominic said, making the call at once. “Once funding is in place, marketing becomes the top priority. We need to hold an opening event.”
Jewel understood the importance of promotion and nodded. “That might end up being the biggest expense.”
Even the best product could not scale without marketing. This was not an area where they could afford to cut corners.
They discussed matters for a while longer, then split up to take action
Before that, Jewel called a company wide meeting
When the employees entered the conference room and saw Dominic and Jewel seated side by side, shock spread across their faces.
Abigail and Daniel stared in disbelief.
Jewel announced calmly, “Starting today, JewelMed will be renamed JewelMed Group. Mr. Fleming will serve as the chairman, and I will continue as the CEO.”
