Taking the opportunity to meet Zachary was not a bad idea either.
Jewel spoke with concern. “If you go, will it—”
“It’s fine,” Dominic said calmly, waving his hand. “Even if things escalate between him and me, I won’t be the one who needs
to worry.”
At worst, he would simply find another lingering soul to eliminate him.
Just then, his phone rang.
Dominic picked it up and saw Katherine’s name on the screen.
“Hello.”
Katherine’s voice trembled with sobs. “Dominic, something happened at home. Isabella and Jessica were kidnapped.”
“What?” Dominic’s expression changed at once. He stood up abruptly.
Panic filled Katherine’s voice. “I was livestreaming in my room. Lily was with me. I heard noise outside and went to check When I came out, Jessica and Isabella were gone.”
“Where’s Lily?” Dominic asked in a low voice after taking a steadying breath.
“She’s taking her afternoon nap in my room. She’s fine.”
“Good. Stay home and wait for me.” Dominic hung up.
Jewel immediately asked, “Did something happen at home?”
“Yes.” Dominic did not elaborate. He headed straight out of the office. When he reached the door, he added, “The meeting with Zachary can wait.”
With that, he hurried away.
On the way, Dominic forced himself to think clearly.
If only Isabella had been taken, the implications would have been enormous. But Jessica had been kidnapped as well, which made the situation far more confusing. In Skyline City, every major power knew who Jessica was. No one would dare touch het lightly.
Could this be the work of the Hales‘ enemies from the capital? But if that were the case, why target Isabella too?
Before long, Dominic arrived at Luxe Residence.
The moment Katherine saw him, she rushed over, her face pale with anxiety. “Dominic, what should we do?”
“Tell me exactly what you saw.”
“When I came out, there was no one there. I ran to the balcony and saw several people carrying them away They looked drugged, completely unconscious.” She hesitated, then added, “The people who took them were very strong, but they all
seemed to be women.”
Dominic frowned. “Women?”
Something about this felt increasingly wrong
Katherine asked, “Should we call the police? Or tell my brother?”
Chapter 249
Dominic thought briefly and shook his head. “Not yet. Don’t call anyone. Wait for them to contact us.”
Katherine nodded.
With Dominic there, her nerves finally settled.
About an hour later, Dominic received another call. It was from Jewel.
She sounded anxious. “Dominic, is Autumn with you? I can’t reach her.‘
Dominic froze. Could Autumn have been taken as well?

On the central island of Orn Lake in Skyline City stood a lavish villa.
Outside, dozens of bodyguards stood on high alert. They wore identical uniforms, their expressions stern, their outlines sharp beneath their clothing. These were clearly not ordinary guards.
Inside the villa, more than ten burly female bodyguards stood watch outside a single room.
Within the room, Isabella and Autumn lay side by side with their eyes closed, as though asleep.
“Vixens!” Jessica scoffed, jealousy flashing across her face. “Why do you have to be so good–looking?”
After a moment’s thought, she grinned mischievously. She reached out and pinched Isabella hard, targeting her waist, lower abdomen, and thighs until dark bruises bloomed on her skin.
Even in her unconscious state, Isabella frowned.
Still dissatisfied, Jessica tore at Isabella’s dress, then deliberately left several red marks along her neck.
Next, she turned to Autumn and repeated the same treatment.
When she was done, Jessica clapped her hands, clearly pleased.
“Once you think you’ve been taken advantage of, you’ll leave Dominic on your own,” she muttered with a soft laugh.
