Chapter 321
However, the mother was busy at the stall and did not hear him at all.
Dominic felt a faint sting in his eyes. He paused to think, then walked over to the young man’s soul and looked straight at him.
The young man, still in his soul state, jolted in shock. “Y–You can see me?”
Dominic nodded gently.
The young man grew agitated at once, flailing his arms and legs. “Sir, please, I’m begging you. Please tell my mom to let me go. Let me go! She’s suffered too much. She’s really suffered too much. I don’t want her to suffer anymore!”
Dominic remained silent for several seconds, then shook his head.
Disappointment flooded the young man’s eyes.
Dominic did not speak. His thoughts drifted to the time he had saved Jessica.
‘If this person hasn’t died…‘ With that thought, he reached out his hand.
He could clearly touch the young man’s soul, yet he still could not make him appear in physical form.
The young man had no idea what Dominic intended and could only stare at him in a daze.
Dominic grasped the young man’s soul and pulled it toward his body.
The young man seemed to understand and gave a bitter smile. “It’s no use. I’ve tried so many times…”
Before he could finish, his expression shifted to pure shock. Under Dominic’s intervention, his soul had begun to merge with his body.
“Daddy, what are you doing?” Lilith asked, puzzled.
Dominic chuckled. “Daddy’s relaxing his muscles.”
“Really?” Her eyes lit up. “I want to learn how to do that too!”
“I’ll teach you later.”
“Hmph. Daddy’s so stingy. I’m not talking to you anymore!”
As the father and daughter interacted, warmth and laughter passing between them, a deep ache flashed through the stall
owner’s eyes.
She kept her head down and continued making the hot dogs in silence.
Soon, the hot dogs were ready. She packed them up with practiced ease and handed them to Dominic. “Sorry to keep you waiting. They’re done.”
Just then, perhaps because of the heat, one of the hot dogs slipped from the bag and fell to the ground.
The mother’s expression tightened, but relief followed when she saw it was still wrapped. She bent down in a hurry to pick it up
At that moment, a hand reached out, lifted the hot dog from the ground, and a familiar voice spoke. “I’ll do it, Mom!”
The mother froze.
She turned her head in disbelief and saw her son, his eyes red. Her hand trembled as she reached out. “You…”
Through tears, the son said, “Mom, I’m better now!”
As he spoke, he handed the hot dog to Dominic, then pulled his mother into his arms.
Chapter 321
In the next instant, mother and son clung to each other, sobbing without restraint.
The son kept his gaze fixed on Dominic, as if he wanted to carve Dominic’s face into his memory.
Dominic looked at them, smiled faintly, took Lilith’s hand, and left quietly.
“Daddy, today’s hot dog was so good. Can we eat it again tomorrow?”
“No,” Dominic replied at once. “Trying something new is enough. How could we eat that every day?”
Lilith’s expression fell, and she let out an indignant snort.
When they got home, Isabella had not returned yet, and Dominic enjoyed a rare stretch of peace and quiet.
Nothing unusual happened that night.

The next day, as soon as Dominic arrived at the company, Andy knocked on his door.
Dominic looked up. “What is it, Andy?”
“Mr. Fleming, you’ve got a delivery.”
‘A delivery?‘ Dominic frowned. He did not recall ordering anything.
He took the item from Andy. It was a document envelope addressed to the company, with Dominic listed as the recipient.
The address and recipient were correct, which only deepened his confusion.
Without overthinking it, he opened the envelope. Inside lay a stack of photographs. They showed a young man and woman, around 18, laughing and fooling around together.
Dominic’s expression changed at once. He recognized the young woman immediately. It was Isabella from many years ago. As for the young man, he had a pair of eyes identical to Alexander’s!
