Chapter 480
A mischievous glint flashed in Dominic’s eyes as he teased, “Autumn, what else could you possibly need as a gift? When I went in earlier, there were so many presents they could barely fit.”
Inside the villa, dozens of exquisitely wrapped boxes were stacked in every corner.
Autumn froze. Disappointment flickered across her eyes, but she withdrew her hand and forced a smile.” You’re right. I don’t need a gift anyway. Haha.”
Dominic only smiled. He reached into his pocket, pulled out a neatly folded sheet of drawing paper, and handed it to her.
Her fingers trembled as she took it and unfolded it with quiet anticipation.
The moment she saw the drawing, she gasped and covered her mouth.
A peach tree filled the page. A young version of Autumn lounged on a branch, lazily nibbling a peach. Beneath the tree, her grandmother stood with a cane, pretending to scold her down. The older woman’s face carried equal parts irritation and resignation, yet her eyes revealed unmistakable affection.
Even in caricature, the likeness was exact. One glance made it clear who they were. The resemblance captured both grandmother and granddaughter perfectly.
A short distance away, in the doorway of a house, a young Dominic sat on a small stool with a lollipop between his lips. He watched the scene with a relaxed grin, as if quietly enjoying the moment.
The drawing was simple, but Autumn’s eyes quickly filled with tears.
Dominic gave a modest smile. “I used to be good at drawing in college. I’m rusty now, but it’s not terrible.”
He had spent nearly three hours on it.
Autumn treated the page as something precious and carefully folded it away. Her tear–bright eyes remained fixed on him.
After a long pause, she suddenly threw herself into his arms. Her voice broke as she said, “Dominic, thank you so much.”
Her softness caught him off guard. The sight of her crying stirred something deep within him. He assumed she was thinking about her grandmother, so he let her hold him and did not pull away.
Jewel, who was driving, shifted uncomfortably.
When the embrace stretched on, she finally blurted out, “Hey, there are other people in the car. Be aware of your surroundings, okay?”
Autumn flushed and pulled back, casting her aunt a reproachful look. The perfect moment had ended
100 soon.
“This is the best gift I’ve ever received in my life, Dominic,” she said with quiet conviction.

“You’re exaggerating,” he replied with a laugh.
She shook her head firmly. “I’m not
She wished the scene in the drawing could become real. If only her grandmother were there, and Dominic could watch from nearby.
“Alright, we’re here. Let’s grab something to eat, Jewed said, parking briskly in front of a high–end
restaurant.
Meanwhile, at the Garcias‘ birthday party…
An awkward tension hung in the air.
