“Hey,” she said in confusion. “Wasn’t my husband going to the service area? Why did he run over there?”

Katherine shrugged. “How would I know?”

Isabella kept watching Dominic. When he walked back, she opened her mouth to ask something. Then she saw him stop beside the car window and casually hand the small flower to Katherine.

Isabella froze.

Dominic offered no explanation. He simply turned around and walked straight into the service area.

Isabella stared at the flower in Katherine’s hand and pressed her lips together. She said nothing, but the bitterness on her face was obvious.

Katherine lowered her head and spoke softly. “He probably picked it for Lily.”
