Chapter 534
Late at night, Katherine suddenly realized that she didn’t know which room Dominic was sleeping in. She yawned and climbed
out of bed.
When she stepped outside, she happened to see the housekeeper walking past. She pulled her over and asked, “Layla, which room is Dominic sleeping in tonight?”
The housekeeper froze for a moment, then shook her head. “Miss, I don’t know either.”
“Alright.” Katherine waved a hand.
She turned back toward her room. When she reached the door and was about to open it, she suddenly froze.
Her face stiffened in disbelief. She leaned closer and pressed her ear tightly against the door.
The next second, tears slid down her face. Certain sounds from inside made her whole body tremble.
Katherine covered her mouth and let out a deeply suppressed sob. ‘Why… Why would you treat me like this?‘
The shock struck like a bolt of lightning from a clear sky, shattering Katherine’s emotional defenses.
She didn’t even know how she made it back to her room. She sat blankly at the edge of the bed, completely lost, as if her soul had left her body.
She didn’t need to open the door to confirm it. She already knew what had happened in that room.
Tears rolled down her smooth cheeks, one drop at a time. Her heart felt as though knives were cutting into it, a pain Katherine
had never experienced before.
Bright moonlight streamed through the window, cold and pale.
Dawn gradually arrived.
Someone knocked on the door and said, “Ms. Sinclair, Mr. Fleming, breakfast is ready!”
Another voice approached and whispered softly, “Shh. He’s still sleeping.”
After the person outside left, Isabella looked at the man sleeping on the bed, her eyes filled with deep affection.

She stepped closer. Suddenly her brows furrowed, and she let out a soft hiss.
She muttered, “After using it for so many years, how could it suddenly feel uncomfortable? That doesn’t make sense.”
That was what she said, but her eyes were full of joy.
Isabella carefully climbed back onto the bed, lying on her side as she quietly looked at her husband and listened to his faint snoring.
At that moment, Isabella felt both relieved and happy. She whispered, “Honey, I’ll never lose you again.”
As she spoke, she smiled slightly and reached out to hug Dominic.
That still wasn’t enough. She lifted her snow–white, plump thigh and rested it across his stomach.
Dominic groggily opened his eyes. When his gaze fell on the bandage on her shoulder, his smile froze.
As if he had seen something terrifying, his eyes suddenly widened. He sat up abruptly and shouted, “Why are you here?”
Isabella also sat up and said unhappily, “Honey, don’t move around!”

Isabella looked puzzled. “I’ve always been here.”
Dominic swallowed. “Then last night…”
