Hunter didn't ask Quinn anything else after that. Once she hung up, the car plunged back into a suffocating silence.

"Tristan, you can just drop me off at the next intersection."

Tristan glanced at his boss through the rearview mirror. Seeing that Mr. York didn't say anything, he didn't dare just dump her on the side of the road.

"Stop at the intersection ahead."

Miles finally gave the order. Tristan, who only took orders from his boss, pulled over at the upcoming intersection.

Knowing the Pierces were leaving the country this weekend, Quinn realized their divorce proceedings could finally begin.
