She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 427

Loyce offered a cold smile. "I'll handle it."

...

The next day.

The executives at Bloomberry headquarters received an email from Loyce stating she would arrive that afternoon to officially take her position. She canceled the welcome dinner and instead called for a mandatory meeting with all Bloomberry executives and shareholders, adding a pointed warning that anyone who failed to attend would face the consequences.

Loyce's bold move instantly sparked outrage among the Seabrook family. Not a single one of them took her email seriously. They decided to let the front desk handle her arrival, instructing the receptionist to put her wherever.

At exactly 1:00 PM, Loyce arrived at the Bloomberry headquarters building on the outskirts of Metropia. She was dressed in sharp, professional attire, her long hair elegantly swept up. She paused to look up at the office building.

It wasn't towering, but its unique facade made it a popular spot for young women taking selfies for social media.

As Loyce walked past them, she caught fragments of their laughter and a clear remark: "The building is gorgeous, but the clothes they design look like garbage."

She walked through the revolving doors into the bright lobby. The receptionist was hunched over, scrolling through short videos on her phone. Only when Loyce rapped her knuckles sharply against the polished counter three times did she lazily look up.

"What?" The tone was dripping with blatant impatience.

"Loyce. I'm here to take my position." Loyce's voice was perfectly level, yet it carried an undeniable, chilling authority.

The receptionist, Vivienne, paused for a second before remembering the vague instructions passed down from above. She knew this was the girl they were supposed to mess with.

Vivienne rolled her eyes, grabbed a freshly printed temporary access card, and tossed it onto the counter without even looking at her.

"Oh, the new director, right? Here's your card. Your office is in... Zone B, end of the hall, take a left. Find it yourself. Management said space is tight, so they set you up with a temporary office for now."

Vivienne heavily emphasized the words "director" and "temporary," making no effort to hide her contempt.

Loyce picked up the flimsy card, her eyes briefly scanning the name tag on the receptionist's chest: Vivienne.

Without a word, she turned and headed toward Zone B.

Zone B housed the design department.

Loyce stood at the threshold, not stepping a single foot inside.

She surveyed the room. Her face showed no sign of the humiliated flush they had expected. Instead, a stunningly beautiful, yet utterly freezing smile slowly curved her lips.

"So Bloomberry's 'prosperity' is reflected in its use of storage closets." Her voice wasn't loud, but it pierced Ms. Walker's eardrums like a poisoned needle. "What a truly unique welcome."

Ms. Walker's fake smile stiffened. Loyce's reaction was completely off-script.

"It's no wonder the girls outside call this building a sugar-coated pile of garbage." Loyce turned away, casually handing the woman her folder while checking her watch. "There's one hour until the meeting. Is my conference room ready?"

Ms. Walker choked on her anger. She instinctively took the folder. "The top-floor conference room is booked by someone else today."

"I confirmed the booking via email days ago. You can't even handle a basic scheduling task?" Loyce stared at her deadpan. "Your incompetence is clearly showing. You are entirely unfit for your position."

From the moment they met, this woman had done nothing but mock her.

Furious, Ms. Walker snapped back, "So what? Do you think you have the power to fire me?"
