With that statement, Jean Morgan instantly leapfrogged over everyone who had just been mocking her, becoming their direct superior. The original Product & Supply Chain Director hadn't even bothered to show up to the meeting today.
Jean hadn't expected the newly appointed Ms. Lonsdale to be so formidable, effortlessly taming this unruly crowd and dealing a satisfying blow on her behalf!
She was the first to stand up and declare her loyalty. "Ms. Lonsdale! You have my word! From this day forward, I will give you absolutely everything I have. As long as you trust me, and as long as I am at Bloomberry, I will get our fabrics, quality control, and supply chain into perfect shape! I won't let you down! If anyone dares to cut corners or pull any dirty tricks with our quality, you won't even have to say a word—I'll be the first to deal with them!"
With Jean taking the lead, the remaining middle managers—already terrified by Loyce's ruthless methods and having witnessed Louis Vance's miserable downfall—didn't dare harbor any illusions of testing her.
The few who had been specifically called out practically scrambled to their feet, their faces pale and voices trembling. "Ms. Lonsdale! I... I was a fool! I wasn't thinking straight! Please give me one more chance! I'll completely turn over a new leaf. I will be absolutely loyal to you and to this company!"
The others quickly followed suit, frantically pledging their allegiance, terrified that being a second too slow would make them the next target for termination.
For a moment, the conference room was filled with desperate apologies, promises, and begging.
Loyce listened expressionlessly, her calm gaze sweeping over each of them. She knew exactly how much of their newfound loyalty was genuine and how much was born purely of fear. But that didn't matter. She only needed their obedience for now. After all, these were Bloomberry veterans, and she couldn't realistically fire every single person in the room.
Right now, she just needed them to do their jobs, too terrified to embezzle or play any more petty games.
When the noise died down slightly, Loyce finally spoke. "Today's meeting was just a screening process. Anyone who didn't show up is fired. Post all their termination letters on the official company website, clearly stating the reasons."
Standing beside her, the HR supervisor couldn't help but ask, "What... what reasons should we use?"
A faint smile touched Loyce's lips. "Outdated designs, obsolete thinking, professional misconduct, and suspected complicity in internal embezzlement."
"This is completely unacceptable! Where does she get the nerve?! And what about Louis Vance's crew? They actually helped her write the announcements?!"
On the other end, as soon as Alicia Seabrook got the news, her phone nearly exploded from all the calls pouring in from the Seabrook family. Rubbing her throbbing temples, she silently cursed Loyce for being such a nightmare. She hadn't expected the girl to be so merciless. Did she really think having the Lonsdale family backing her meant she could do whatever she pleased?
Unable to book a meeting with Loyce themselves, the fired Bloomberry executives eventually had Alicia step in. She booked a private dining room at Crown Group's Sky Restaurant and issued a formal invitation to Loyce.
Naturally, Loyce accepted. "Since you asked, Aunt Alicia, as a younger generation member, I have to give you that respect. I'll be there on time."
That evening, inside the most exclusive private room on the top floor of the Crown Dining building, the atmosphere was so tense you could cut it with a knife.
Led by Horace Seabrook and Milton Seabrook, five or six core members of the Seabrook family sat near the head of the table, their faces thunderous. The air was thick with fury and the stinging humiliation of being utterly disrespected...
