"I still have a few things to take care of, so I won't be here much longer," Loyce replied. "But if you run into any issues over the next couple of days, just ask me. I have most of the data memorized."
She planned to spend her final days in Mexistar helping Bonick get the research on track.
At the same time, a massive shipment of data had just arrived.
Loyce led Bonick to the files. "This is the research I conducted back in Metropia. It was originally handled by the Winslet family, but I took it over. It focuses heavily on repairing Lucian's nerve damage."
"I'm familiar with his condition," Bonick noted. "You managed to stabilize him with the N79 serum from CoreWell Pharmacy, allowing him to function relatively normally, correct?"
Loyce nodded. "Exactly. The Frost Peppermint formula essentially solved the biggest hurdle. All that's left are the clinical trials. I want you to run them. My team will back you up. Once we're absolutely certain it's viable, we'll administer the cure to Lucian."
Bonick looked at her, his eyes shining with profound respect. "You're so young, yet you've achieved things I couldn't manage in a lifetime. You really are brilliant."
Loyce smiled softly. "I'm leaving the rest in your capable hands."
"Don't worry." Bonick's eyes were already glowing with academic fervor.
With the lab secured, Loyce headed back to the Lonsdale estate.
Hank was in the middle of a high-level meeting with the Costa family executives. Laurence sat among them. As he saw Loyce walking past the window, he interrupted the discussion. "Why don't we ask for the brilliant SaintHealer's opinion? What does your sister think?"
Hank immediately became protective. "My sister is gentle and fragile. She doesn't get involved in my dangerous affairs."
Hearing that, several elite enforcers—who had witnessed her ruthless efficiency in Africa—couldn't help but snort in amusement.
When Hank shot them a lethal glare, one man shrugged, trying not to laugh. "Boss, you keep saying she's delicate, but I watched her snap a grown man's neck without blinking. You really need to check your bias. She's a total badass."
"Who's a badass?"
Loyce leaned against the doorframe, her arms crossed, a knowing smirk on her face.
The enforcer instantly shut his mouth. Laurence offered a genuine invitation. "We're having a strategy meeting about the Colombo family. Would you like to sit in?"
Laurence didn't beat around the bush. "Because I thought of a plan that Hank also thought of, but absolutely refuses to use. If we do it, our success rate is one hundred percent. After all, who wouldn't want to get their hands on cutting-edge weapons supplied by the X Arms Syndicate? Using that as bait would guarantee the Colombos take the hook."
The room went dead silent. Everyone stared at Loyce.
Hank had indeed thought of the plan, but he absolutely refused to leverage his sister's connections or put a target on her back. In his mind, his only job was to protect her.
He immediately opened his mouth to reject the idea, but Loyce cut him off. "We just use the 'Mr. X' alias as a front. I'll have my team sail a ship into the harbor. It's nothing, Hank. You have nothing to worry about."
"I don't want you on the front lines, especially if bullets start flying," Hank argued. "Not only would I hate it, but the rest of the family would skin me alive. Forrest specifically told me to keep you safe before I left."
Loyce gave him a reassuring smile. "Hank, I'm the big boss. I won't be doing the heavy lifting myself."
"So, you agree?" Laurence smiled. "Then you should attend tonight's banquet with us."
"Alright," Loyce said evenly. "Have Karina pass the intel along. Pick a harbor and let me know. My ship will arrive in three days. We'll load a fraction of the crates with real weapons to sell the lie. But cons like this unravel fast. She needs to move quickly."
