She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 895

After breakfast, Giselle helped her daughter wash up. Gigi pressed her tiny hands against her mother's face, her sweet voice full of concern. "Mommy, did you not sleep well last night? You have dark circles under your eyes."

Giselle smiled and nuzzled her daughter's hands. "I was just trying to come up with the most beautiful dress design, so I couldn't sleep. How was preschool? Are you getting used to it?"

Gigi nodded. "Everyone is really nice."

"That's good." Giselle dropped her off at school and rushed to Bloomberry to discuss the design drafts with Jean Morgan.

Hearing that Mrs. Kendal's contract was secured, Jean let out a massive sigh of relief. "As long as we've got her on board, the other socialites will be easy to manage. Our biggest headache right now is securing the fabric and jewelry."

"All the luxury fabric suppliers in Metropia have cut us off. They're trying to back us into a corner so we'll be forced to crawl back and pay their inflated prices," Jean sighed. "Finding regular fabric isn't hard; we could just import it. But securing a stable luxury supplier is the nightmare keeping me awake at night."

"Have you done any market research on new suppliers?" Giselle asked.

Jean actually had. She handed over a file. "I've traveled a lot over the years and looked into different manufacturing hubs. This kind of monopoly tactic has happened before. Our own factories can only produce so much; we need suppliers with fresh, premium materials. Yarnwick City has excellent options."

"They're famous for their silk. They have the largest production facilities in the country. A lot of top-tier silk comes from there. We can't produce that level of quality in-house. It's strictly luxury grade."

"Let's import the fabric for those socialites' orders for now," Giselle decided. "Send me on a business trip to Yarnwick City. I'll go check it out. If the silk is really that good, we'll negotiate a partnership."

Jean looked surprised. "Wait, you just got back and you're already volunteering for a business trip? Is this because of him? Even if it is, what about Gigi?"

"It's absolutely not because of Hank," Giselle said dryly. "And I won't be gone long—a month at most. My mom, Emma, will watch Gigi. She knows I travel for work, so Gigi isn't overly dependent on me." She smiled. "She actually loves my job because I make pretty dresses."

Jean looked relieved. "Thank god she's an angel. If you've got childcare sorted, I'll approve the trip to Yarnwick City. You can leave as early as next week."

After finishing her work, Giselle got a call from Emma. Several medical professors were visiting her today to consult about Frost Peppermint. Over the years, Emma had built a solid professional relationship with these doctors, turning it into a stable consulting gig.

Giselle told her mother she'd be getting off work early, so she'd pick Gigi up and buy some groceries to make dinner.

Meanwhile, in the VIP hospital suite, the smell of antiseptic was suffocating.

Hank lay back against the pillows, the IV needle buried in his hand since the previous night. The medication bags on the stand had been swapped out repeatedly.

His complexion was still pale, but his fever had dropped from 103 degrees to just over 100. At least he was conscious.

The door pushed open. Lucian Shapiro strolled in carrying a fruit basket. He took one look at Hank and smirked, radiating a distinct "I told you so" energy.
