She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 344

After they had returned from watching the sunrise, Rowan had simply announced he was going back to his room to rest, and then he completely vanished.

Jasmine hadn't seen him since, and a quiet, persistent unease was beginning to settle in her chest.

"You're looking for Rowan, right?" Leo said to Jasmine. "He took my car and headed out."

"Where did he go?"

"No idea."

Jasmine's stomach tightened, and she couldn't stop herself from asking, "What about Lyra?"

"She got bitten by a bug, so she's taking a shower," one of the nearby girls chimed in. "She was still in there when we left her room."

But calculating the time in her head, Jasmine realized an awful lot of time had passed. Was she seriously still washing up?

Oddly enough, hearing that actually made Jasmine breathe a secret sigh of relief. As long as Lyra and Rowan didn't cross paths or spend time together, everything was fine.

Just then, Mrs. Gable walked over with a warm smile, gathering everyone for dinner. She glanced around and asked casually, "Where are your other two boys? I haven't seen them around."

One of the girls laughed and joked, "Oh, they're not coming back anytime soon! They found a spot by the lake to go fishing. They'll probably be gone a while."

Mrs. Gable's eyes crinkled with amusement. "Well, that's wonderful. Looks like we'll be having fresh fish soup tonight."

Her eyes scanned the group again. Noticing the most handsome guy of the bunch was missing, along with Lyra, she turned to Madeline. "And what about the other young lady? Where did she go?"

Leo quickly intervened. "Our handsome friend went out, and Lyra said she wanted noodles. Once we're done eating, could you have the kitchen whip up a bowl just for her?"

Internally, Leo was calculating the odds. No matter how much Rowan lost control, surely they'd be finished by the time dinner was over.

Running a hand through his hair, Leo followed the group into the dining room. Just as they were finishing their meal, Rowan walked in.

Jasmine immediately looked up at him and asked, "Where have you been? Did you eat?"

"I'm not hungry."

Rowan replied dismissively, his voice perfectly flat. The hair at his forehead was slightly damp, making him look as though he had just stepped out of a shower.
