She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 461

Wait, my things are still in the car. I need to get them."

Lyra stumbled as Rowan dragged her out of the driver's seat, stubbornly trying to turn back.

"I just want that crown."

Just as the words left her mouth, the gift box containing the crown exploded with a deafening roar. Sparks and shredded raffia burst into the air. If she had still been holding the box, the blast would have shredded her hands and ruined her face.

Lyra froze, terror crawling up her spine and paralyzing her limbs as she stared blankly at the passenger seat. It took her a long moment to process what had just happened.

"I was tricked..."

Tears of grievance and bitter resentment welled in her eyes as she muttered repeatedly, "I was set up."

Rowan gripped her shoulder, remaining completely silent.

Andrea arrived in her car at that moment, and Rowan instructed, "Clean up this mess."

Seeing smoke billowing from Lyra's car, Andrea quickly grabbed a fire extinguisher.

As a crowd began to gather, Rowan simply grabbed Lyra by the nape of her neck and shoved her into his own car.

The vehicle sped away from the scene, the wind howling through the cracked windows. Lyra silently tightened her seatbelt, her nerves stretched taut. Seeing him steer with one hand while dialing his phone at breakneck speed, she instinctively closed her eyes.

"Take a team to the Ford residence on Lydian Road and clear them out. Smash everything you can. I want them out of Seaborne City tonight."

Lyra jolted, her lingering fear instantly replaced by shock. She opened her eyes and stared at the man's hard, unyielding profile, but Rowan didn't spare her a single glance.

The car pulled into the grounds of Blackwood Manor. He grabbed her hand, dragging her stumbling up the stairs to the master bedroom.

"Here. The crown. Take it."
