She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 521

The place where they held Lyra wasn't Blackwood Manor. It was The Tea Plantation Cabin, a solitary wooden structure nestled deep in the mountains, far away from Seaborne City.

Surrounded by peaks and endless terraces of tea plants, the cabin was perpetually shrouded in heavy mist whenever the weather turned sour.

It was entirely cut off from the world. Cell phones had absolutely zero reception here, making it impossible for anyone to track them down.

Typically, the only person around was The Matron, a middle-aged woman who tended the fields. She minded the crops and never poked her nose into the guests' private business.

They arrived at the cabin in the dead of night. Outside, the wind howled and battered against the wooden walls like a torrential storm. Inside the bedroom, Rowan's assault was just as relentless. His powerful body blanketed Lyra, and when she looked up at his face flush with dark desire, she saw the same man from three years ago—only now, his predatory edge was far more lethal.

It was impossible to tell how much time had passed.

When the first light of dawn broke, a series of dull knocks echoed from the door, jarring Lyra from a heavy, exhausted sleep. Her eyelids felt like lead, and her entire body ached as if her bones had been crushed; even shifting an inch took immense effort.

Outside, The Matron spoke in a flat voice through the wood. "Get up. Time to cook."

Lyra pushed herself up on the wooden bed. The space beside her was empty; Rowan was nowhere to be seen.

She instinctively reached for her pillow, but her phone was completely gone, vanished without a trace.

Getting no response, the woman opened the door and walked in, relaying her message expressionlessly. "The boss ordered that since you're so good in the kitchen, you'll be making one hundred plates of Spicy stir-fried beef every single day."

Lyra froze, staring in sheer disbelief. "One hundred plates?"

"Yes." With that, The Matron turned to leave.
