Hearing that, the gloom on Jasmine's face visibly lifted.

Waylon set the flowers on the bedside table. "How are your injuries?"

The Ford family members exchanged nervous, evasive glances.

Elara Townsend stammered, "My cousin is... doing fine. The doctor said she just needs to rest for a while before she can be discharged."

She couldn't seem to get a coherent truth out.
