I scoffed.

But the next day, I stroll into the courthouse with Eason, only to find my fiancé married his first love over losing a fucking bet.

Lorelei shrugged.

“Babe, it was just a stupid dare! We were wasted.”

“But hey, no biggie–Once I’m bored, I’ll dump him and give him back to you.”

Eason Luwelton shot me an annoyed look.

“Don’t be dramatic. You’re in Vegas–shit happens.”

“Once my divorce is official, I’ll give you a grand weeding.”

I smirk, pushed him off.

I turned to leave, but Eason grabbed my wrist, looking annoyed.

“What the hell is your problem? We can still get divorced. You seriously can’t wait one month?”

Lorelei didn’t even bother hiding herself–she embraced Eason, shoving his head down toward her chest.

“Relax, sis. It’s just a month. Hell, I’ll even test–drive Eason in bed for you.”

“If he can’t work, dump his ass. No point being stuck in a sexless marriage.”

Everyone cracked up, including Eason.

He pushed Lorelei off lazily and tugged her shirt open, taking a look.

“With that flat tits? Yeah, no thanks.”

Lorelei wasn’t mad. She puffed out her chest.

“Wanna help me train it and enjoy the whole ‘raising her‘ experience?”

Fury shot through me.

Someone noticed my face and jumped in quick.

Someone popped the trunk.

“Eason went all out for today. He got you something special.”

The second it opened, everyone froze.

The trunk was supposed to be full of flowers.

Instead, it was trashed.

The blooms were crushed, and on top lay a pair of lace panties.

Lorelei gasped and grabbed it.

“Oh my God, that’s why I felt so breezy this morning. Totally forgot to put these back on.”

She turned to Eason, whining. “You didn’t even remind me.”

My mind went blank. I slapped Eason hard across the face.

“You’re disgusting!”

Eason froze for a second, then grabbed my hand.

“It’s not what you think.”

“She got drunk last night and crashed in the car. That’s all!”

He shot Lorelei a look. She rolled her eyes.

“Yeah, yeah, my bad. I insisted on sleeping in the trunk ALONE. Totally wrecked his surprise for you by accident.”

“But hey, you two didn’t get married today anyway, so it’s whatever.”

It was like a mocking than apologizing.

I yanked my hand free, voice ice–cold.

“Since you two are already married, nothing more to say. Congrats. Bitch and bastard forever.”

A man this filthy? Anyone who wants him can have him.

Eason stepped in front of me, face dark.

“I already told you marrying Lorelei was an accident. Do you have to be such a bitch about it?”

“Everyone came here to celebrate US getting married. At least you should buy them dinner.”
