Chapter 6
Chapter 6
After moving back to my old apartment, I gave myself a well-deserved break. Sleeping in till whenever, experimenting with new recipes-life was pretty sweet.
I thought the whole Stone family drama was behind me, but three days later my phone absolutely exploded.
A friend sent me a trending topic link with the headline: [BILLIONAIRE’S SIDE CHICK EXPOSED: Kicked Out & Caught Stealing Designer Goods!]
I clicked on it and there was footage of me packing up my stuff a few days ago.
Sera had secretly filmed me at some point, making sure to shove all the designer bags and watches from my suitcase right up close to the camera.
Her caption read:
[I’m abroad for a few months and some shameless homewrecker starts cosplaying as me to seduce MY Gabe, blowing his money on luxury goods. Now that I’ve called her out she’s running with her tail between legs. Do you guys think the REAL girlfriend should get her stuff back? #exposed #golddigger]
The comment section was going absolutely nuts.
[OMG is this replacement literature coming to life?!]
[using someone else’s money for designer stuff is so gross…]
[poor first love getting her spot stolen… that’s rough]
[girl better return that stuff!! stealing is not it]
While I was scrolling through comments, I got a text from an unknown number:
“Summer, you saw the trending topic, right? Be smart and return all the luxury stuff my Gabe bought you, or I don’t mind making you even more famous!”
Reading Sera’s message, I was so mad I actually started laughing.
Those luxury items were bought with my own damn salary!
I make 800K a year-you think I can’t afford a few designer pieces?
I was about to text back when my phone rang. This time it was Gabriel.

Chapter 6
“Summer, I saw what’s online. I’m sorry-it’s Sera again.”
His voice sounded genuinely apologetic: “I’ll have my PR team clear this up and sue anyone spreading rumors.”
I shut that down immediately:
“Nah, don’t bother. If you jump in to defend me, won’t that just prove I really was your first love’s replacement? That’ll make everything way messier. I got this handled-you don’t need to worry about it.”
After hanging up, I opened my laptop and posted screenshots of my employment contract with Gabriel.
The contract clearly stated: 800K annual salary, position: private chef.
Then I posted all the purchase receipts for those luxury items, each one timestamped and showing payments from my own bank account after I started the job.
[Hi everyone, this is Summer. I’m Mr. Gabriel Stone’s private chef making 800K a year-NOT some replacement girlfriend. Every designer item in that video was bought with my own hard-earned money. Nobody stole anything. The truth always comes out, so maybe think twice before spreading lies.]
The second I posted this, the comments went dead quiet for a few seconds, then totally exploded.
[WAIT WHAT?! 800k for a CHEF?! what kind of gordon ramsay level skills…]
[omg i’m so sorry!! with that salary those bags are like pocket change…]
[turns out it’s not replacement drama i’m just poor and bitter lmaooo]
[so that sera girl was straight up lying? yikes that’s embarrassing]
What I didn’t expect was for some of those elite guests from the welcome party to actually repost my clarification.
Richard Whitmore III:
[Summer’s cooking is literally world-class. My mom bugs me every single day to steal her away for our family. 800K is honestly a bargain.]
CEO of Harrison Industries:
[Still can’t stop thinking about Summer’s truffle Wellington from last time. Girl, you need to open a restaurant ASAP-I’ll be your first investor!]
CEO of Blake Enterprises:
[Anyone talking trash about Summer is gonna have problems with me! If she’s some replacement, then what the

hell are all of us trying to poach her?]
Once these big shots spoke up, the comment section completely flipped.
People went from gossiping to basically drooling over my food.
[when the billionaires start defending you… her food must be INSANE]
[bestie please open a restaurant i will literally camp outside]
[justice for summer getting treated like a replacement when she’s out here making bank]
[sera really thought she did something huh]
Reading through the comments, I couldn’t help but smile.
Not only did I dodge that bullet, but I got some free advertising out of it.
I was about to reply to people asking about opening a restaurant when I got an anonymous message with some photos and an audio clip attached.
The photos showed Sera’s pregnancy test and abortion paperwork from an overseas clinic. The audio was her chatting with a friend:
“Girl, I wasn’t abroad to ‘find myself’-I got hammered and knocked up by some random guy, had to sneak overseas to take care of it… Gabriel’s such a damn fool, actually believed I wanted to travel and kept flying out to see me every week. What can I say? That’s just my first love power!”
I raised an eyebrow. Well, well, well-revenge served on a silver platter.
Since Sera couldn’t leave me the hell alone, guess I didn’t need to play nice anymore.
I blurred out the sensitive details and posted everything anonymously online with the caption:
[Some people love playing the perfect first love, but what were they really up to during those three months abroad?
?]
