Since You Chose Your 'Bro' I Married Your Brother novel Chapter 53

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

How did I ever think Preston was sweet?

Kid’s a walking time bomb.

He stormed over, grabbed my hand away from Julian, and scrubbed off the design like he was trying to erase

evidence.

“Julian, your grandfather’s looking for you. Go before he has a stroke.”

Julian hesitated. Glanced at me before leaving.

I kept my face neutral.

Preston stepped in front of me. “He’s gone. You can stop now.

“You’re unbelievable! Every guy you meet, you just-do you have any shame at all?!”

“You think I’m that irresistible?”

At my reaction, his face went scarlet. Looked ready to combust.

I tapped his chest with one finger.

Not bad.

“You need to calm down. How old are you, anyway?”

“I’m not a child! I’m eighteen! I’m a legal adult!”

Nearly burst my eardrum.

Inside, Damien worked the room. Came over during a lull, touched my hair. “Preston’s the family golden boy. Totally spoiled, Shares a birthday with my mom, actually.”

Wait.

He’d just turned eighteen when I overheard that conversation?

So he was fifteen when I got married?

That explained the blushing.

Chapter 10

Damien was unusually happy tonight. Drank more than usual. Leaned on me getting to the car, half the guests watching.

I handed him to the driver. “Get him home safe.”

“Mrs. Sinclair, aren’t you-”

“Got a work emergency. Can’t be helped.”

Those models weren’t going to pay themselves.

Caught a ride. Halfway there, my chest got tight.

Everything went dark.

Someone’s mouth found mine in the blackness.

Woke up disoriented. Wrists held. Someone’s body heat behind me.

Solid chest. Even breathing. Tried to roll over.

Hold on.

Why couldn’t I move my legs?

“Is she hurt?”

“You’re being too rough.”

Panic hit.

This was very, very bad.

Didn’t dare scream. Tears came instead.

Someone wiped them away, pressed my head back against their chest. “Ease up. She’s sensitive.”

Wait. What?

Flexed my ankle experimentally. A hand steadied it. Something cold dabbed my skin. Iodine.

Slight sting.

Chapter 10

“She scraped her heel and didn’t even notice. Careless.”

I knew that voice.

Yanked off whatever was covering my eyes.

Sebastian sat on the couch, white shirt wrinkled, top buttons undone. All sharp angles and controlled expression.

His twin brother Sam knelt on the floor in a sweatshirt, one hand on my ankle, the other holding a Q-tip. Puppy dog

incarnate.
