Chapter 151
Lena woke up groggy from a hangover, her head pounding
She squinted and stretched herself lazily When her hand suddenly landed on a firm, uscular body right next to her, she
froze
Her eyes flew open.
And then, seeing that face just inches away. Lena gasped in shock.
Dustin’s breathing was even and quiet, obviously still asleep.
There were clear bite marks on his neck, collarbone, and shoulders.
Lena found her heart trembling violently.
udging by those bite marks, she was almost certain she was the culprit.
she tried hard to recall what had happened last night. She remembered her singing sad songs and picking up a glass of wine n front of Dustin.
Shit!’ Lena swore to herself.
It’s all that damn liquor’s fault!
ena snatched up her long dress from the floor. It was a wrinkled mess, but it was all she had to wear.
As she bent to climb out of bed, her legs felt weak and shaky.
Last night must’ve been crazy.
Not daring to stick around, Lena quickly threw on her dress, grabbed her heels, and slipped out the hotel room barefoot.
she even left the door slightly open, worried that closing it too loudly might wake up the man she’d ravished.
As soon as she slipped out, she bolted barefoot down the hallway and out of the hotel.
She was still shaken, her heart racing.
That was so close, she thought, still rattled.
Now that she was gone, there was no way Dustin could try to play the victim.
The cleaning lady scratched her head, confused. ‘Why’s this door left open? Maybe the guest already left? she wondered
She pushed the door open a crack and said, “Anyone here?”
Dustin gave a lazy stretch, slowly waking up.
“Why are you sleeping with the door open, young man?” the cleaning lady said.
Dustin snapped awake, pulling the covers up to shield himself. “Get out! Do you always just walk in before the guests check

She kept muttering complaints as she shuffled out of the room.
Dustin whipped his head to the side, searching for the woman who’d been all over him last night
‘She ran away!” he realized.
Thinking back to what the cleaning lady had said. Dustin gritted his teeth in annoyance.
‘She thinks she can run? Let’s see where she thinks she can hide.’ Dustin thought, his jaw clenched.
Early in the morning, Klein ran five laps around the tree-lined path outside Harris Manor. By the time he got back inside, he was just getting warmed up.
His phone rang in his pocket. He glanced at the screen, raised his eyebrows slightly and answered. “Hey, Dustifi.”
‘Klein, where’s Lena?” Dustin asked.
Klein froze.
He’d had such a wild night with Whitney that he honestly hadn’t noticed when Lena got home.
‘Wasn’t it you who drove her home last night? She hasn’t come home yet?” Klein asked.
Lena crept in and immediately met Klein’s sharp gaze.
She stood up straight and said with a nervous grin, “Morning, Uncle Klein…”
Klein felt something was up. “What’s going on?” he asked.
He was talking to Dustin on the other end of the phone.
Dustin didn’t hold back and said, “Your niece slept with me last night, and then slipped out before I woke up this morning She even blocked me on WhatsApp. What are you going to do about this?”
Klein’s expression turned cold. “Dustin, I treat you like a brother. Are you taking advantage of my niece?”
Dustin retorted, “Klein, you should come see for yourself who’s getting taken advantage of. I’m covered in bite marks. courtesy of your niece. Guess I’ll just have to swallow my pride and come over at ten to propose.”
Klein hung up on him.
He stared straight at Lena and asked, “Lena, you just got back this morning?”
Lena pursed her lips, inching forward cautiously. “Oh, I was feeling a bit down yesterday, so I just wandered around while. Don’t worry, Uncle Klein, I’m totally fine. Seriously, I swear!” she said.
Lena looked guilty as hell, swearing that she was innocent.
Klein didn’t buy it for a second, but he couldn’t help asking, “So, did you really sleep with Dustin last night?”
Lena froze in shock.

It took Whitney a second to process what Klein just said, and then her eyes flew open. “What do you mean?” she asked.
Lena got back to her room.
Oh my god, I’m doomed, Whit! Why is that jerk Dustin acting like this? It was just a slip-up, an accident!”
And it was my first time! I’m not even holding him responsible. Why wouldn’t he just let it go?”
Whitney was at a loss for words.
Trust me, if you don’t want to marry him, nobody’s going to make you. Uncle Klein is totally on your side.” Whitney reassured her.
Lena’s eyes were misty with tears and she asked, “Really?”
‘Of course! I mean it,” Whitney said, her voice full of reassurance.
Lena was still rattled, her mind spinning. She had no clue how she was supposed to deal with the mess waiting for her.
Thank goodness Whitney was here to stick with her through it all.
At ten sharp, Dustin showed up at Harris Manor, looking sharp in a perfectly tailored suit.
“Grandpa James, nice to see you,” Dustin greeted warmly.
Behind him, his driver unloaded a whole trunk full of gifts. He and the Harris family’s butler carried them inside together
James looked puzzled. “Dustin, what’s all this?”
