Chapter 166e…
Chapter 166
Hotel restaurant.
Whitney looked at Ethan with excitement. “Ethan, what brings you back home?
Ethan said with a smile, “Just wanted to visit for a bit. I’m only here for a month, and then I’ll head out
The Sherman family was the family of Whitney’s mother, and her only family left.
So Whitney was genuinely glad to see him.
But while Whitney was happy, Klein wasn’t exactly happy about it.
Klein felt a bit annoyed. ‘Who the hell shows up just to mess with my time alone with my wife?’ he thought.
Klein pursed his lips. “Well, Ethan, where do you want to go? Want me to get you à local guide and set something up for you?”
Ethan wasn’t clueless. He could totally pick up on the hint of rejection in Klein’s face.
He shot back playfully, “Come on, guides are just strangers. Where’s the fun in that? Whitney, just take me around yourself when you’re free.”
Klein was speechless.
But his adorably clueless wife instantly agreed, grinning. “Sure! I’m about to take my annual leave anyway. Once I get home. I’ll look up some cool spots and show you around!”
Klein cleared his throat and said, “Actually, I’ve got some free time too. I’ll tag along with you guys.”
Ethan smirked, “Really? Aren’t you always swamped, Klein? I wouldn’t want to steal you away from your busy schedule”
‘No need to worry about that. It’s settled then,” Klein replied, refusing to back down.
Whitney picked up on his sour tone and shot him a glare.
Just go do your own thing. I can show Ethan around myself,” she said.
On the way back, Whitney was fuming. “Why did you keep throwing shade at Ethan today?”
Klein just pursed his lips and kept quiet.
“Say something, Klein,” Whitney pressed.
Klein was driving with a straight face and said, “You said you’d save your annual leave for our honeymoon”
His voice was stiff, but he couldn’t hide how hurt he sounded.
Whitney didn’t even know what to say.
After the wedding, when Klein suggested going on a honeymoon. Whitney gently declined.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to go.

→ win just that so much had happened lately. She’d been busy with lawsuits, family stuff, and a whole bunch of things that
otally messed up her plans.
She figured that day on the private island, taking wedding photos, pretty much counted as their honeymoon
Knowing she was in the wrong, she mumbled. “Sorry”
She reached out and tickled his waist. “Klein, don’t be mad.”
Klein kept his eyes straight ahead, completely ignoring her.
Whitney tried again, “Don’t be mad, honey.”
Out of the corner of his eye, Klein caught her pouting and begging, and he was so tempted to pull over right then and there and kiss her hard.
‘Honey?” Whitney called out again.
‘I was thinking, after we show Ethan around for a few days, we could let him go off and do his own thing, and then sneak away for our honeymoon. But if you’re not up for it, never mind,” she said, pouting.
‘I am!” Klein blurted out without even thinking.
‘You really…” Klein muttered through clenched teeth, knowing she had him completely wrapped around her finger
Sometimes she drove him up the wall, but he couldn’t do anything about it.
Guess that was just what happened when he was the one who fell first.
“Three days with Ethan, and that’s my limit. Not a day more,” Klein declared, sounding extra possessive.
Whitney stifled a laugh.
Seriously, what a clingy man,’ she thought to herself.

After Lena and Dustin got home, Lena spread all the wedding gifts out on the table and started opening them one by one
Dustin gave her hair a loving tousle and teased, “You little money
lover.”
“Hey, don’t touch my hair!” Lena mumbled.
By the time she got to the last gift box, she’d almost forgotten it was there.
When Lena opened it and found a painting of the sunset glow inside, she paused, caught off guard
“What’s this?” Dustin asked, curious.
Lena snapped the box shut a little too fast, looking guilty and flustered.
“Oh, it’s nothing. No idea who sent it. Just some random painting, she brushed off, trying to sound casual
Dustis squinted, picking up on how weird she was acting
Let me see. What kind of painting is it?” he pressed.

Why blinked guilly Seriously, it’s nothing worth looking at. Just a painting, that’s all. Lena said, dodging
At the very bottom of the painting was a signature, a name Lena had once known by heart.
She couldn’t understand why he’d come all this way just to give her this painting
‘Did he send someone, or did he come back himself? Lena wondered, her thoughts in turmoil
Her mind was a mess.
Dustin didn’t push it any further.
It was their wedding day, and Dustin’s gaze was deep and unreadable. “Fine, if you don’t want to look, then don’t,” he said. sounding a little resigned.
“But honey, aren’t you tired of wearing that wedding dress? How about I help you take it off?” he added, his voice low and teasing.
Lena’s eyes widened in shock, and she held her breath nervously.
As she let out a startled gasp, Dustin scooped her up into his arms like it was nothing.
Wedding gifts, paintings, none of that mattered now. Lena was swept up in the heat of the moment, her body burning with desire, and all those trivial things faded from her mind.

As the pain ripped through her, Lena felt cold sweat on her forehead.
‘Dustin, you tricked me!” she gasped.
Dustin was struggling too. “Just hold on, baby. It’ll be over soon. God, I love you so much,” he whispered, voice thick with longing.
Lena couldn’t feel any love from him at all. She couldn’t tell how much of what he said was real.
Her tears slipped out, and Dustin kissed them away, soft as ever.
But all that tenderness was just a sweet illusion. The next morning, Lenawent off, clutching her sore waist. Dustin you totally lied to me!”
Dustin, on the other hand, looked fresh as a daisy, even holding a tube of ointment.

“What’s wrong, baby? Is it just morning grumpiness? If you’re tired, just sleep a little more,” he said, acang dl innocen
Lena was so mad that she tried to kick him.
But Dustin grabbed her foot in his rough hand. “Easy, baby. Last night was your first time. Let me put some omtrent you.”
“First time? Seriously?” Lena snapped. “Then what about last time?”
Dustin feigned innocence. “Last time? What are you even talking about?”
Lena bit her lips. “The night we got drunk after the concert!”

dously nothing had happened that night!
He’d totally misled her!
And he’d even convinced her she had to take respofisibility for it!
If it wasn’t for that, she never would’ve had to marry this shameless man!
‘Baby, you totally misunderstood. You were drunk. I would never take advantage of you like that. Dustin said putting on hi best innocent face.
Lena was speechless.
Lena looked at him as if he was a total stranger now.
Seriously, how did Dustin get so sneaky? Who taught him this stuff?’ she thought, completely exasperated.
