Skipped At The Altar, Taken By His Uncle novel Chapter 213

Chapter 213

Klein wasn’t too happy with how his friends just shrugged off his message in the group chat earlier.

Later that night, Whitney saw Klein sitting on the edge of the bed, calling his friends one after another.

“Yo, Eric! Heard you’re getting married?” Klein teased.

“Nah, nothing much. Just wanted to rub it in. I’ve got twins on the way. Your wife isn’t even expecting yet, huh?” Klein bragged.

‘Damn it!’ Eric was seriously pissed.

“Hey, Oliver! Still abroad? Just wanted to catch up. It’s been a while. So, did you finally win your girl over yet?” Klein te

‘He just had to go there,’ Oliver thought, annoyed.

Through gritted teeth, Oliver said, “Klein, what do you want? I’m busy!”

“Oh, just wanted to let you know. Come back in a few months for the twins’ celebration party. Why are you so worked u Klein teased.

Oliver rolled his eyes. ‘How could I not be worked up?’ he thought.

‘I haven’t even won her over yet!’ he grumbled to himself.

Klein didn’t care what Oliver was thinking. Once he’d made his announcement, he hung up.

The last call was to Dustin.

Dustin had just finished settling the kid when Lena walked over, handing him his phone.

“Uncle Klein’s calling,” Lena said.

Dustin paused for a moment, but he couldn’t just ignore the call.

“Hello?” Dustin said..

“Saw the group chat? You’re not at home bawling, are you? Chill, I just have one more kid than you. Ever heard of hitting the jackpot with twins, a boy and a girl?” Klein teased.

With a sharp click, Dustin hung up, his eye twitching in frustration.

Whitney watched Klein finish showing off to everyone, and couldn’t help feeling amused.”Well, did you finally manage to annoy all your friends?” she teased.

Klein was speechless.

“Hey, I’m just spreading the good news. Good news should be shared with everyone,” Klein replied with a grin.

Whitney knew Klein loved to show off. She smiled and said, “Go to sleep, honey.”

As soon as she finished, Klein leaned down and rested his head gently on her belly.

With his deep, magnetic voice, he softly whispered, “Babies, be good and don’t make things hard for your mom, okay?”

Whitney couldn’t help but laugh. “They can’t hear you yet.”

“They can,” Klein replied, kissing

After Lena found out Whitney was expecting twins, she took Dustin to Harris Manor for a visit.

“Whit, how does it feel, being pregnant with twins?” Lena asked.

Whitney shook her head and said, “Honestly, I don’t feel much yet. Just craving sour stuff all the time.”

Dustin chuckled and said, “Sounds like you’re having two boys!”

His laugh was so loud that it got on Klein’s nerves.

Klein shot him a look and said, “Dustin, you trying to start something?”

Whitney and Lena burst out laughing. “Don’t mind him. These days, if anyone says they’re both boys, Klein totally lose!

“So, did you and Dustin finally work things out?” Whitney asked.

Lena blushed.

“Yeah. I guess we did,” she replied.

Lena didn’t even want to talk about it. As soon as she completed her postpartum recovery, Dustin was so eager that she co barely walk straight.

He just loved to mess with her, holding her close and asking again and again, “Baby, who do you like most?”

Lena lost track of how many times she had to say his name before he’d finally let her off the hook.

She seriously regretted letting Dustin have something to tease her about.

“I’ll go find out who his first love was!” Lena growled.

Whitney laughed, “What if it was you?”

“No way,” Lena shot back, not believing it for a second.

It suddenly hit Whitney. Something Klein had said made her want to log into that game account.

After Lena left, Whitney went back to the study and started fiddling with the computer.

She got so caught up that she forgot all about lunch.

“Honey, time to eat,” Klein called out.

Whitney didn’t even look up, and stared at the screen with a deep frown, lost in thought.

She couldn’t remember which server she had played on, so she just logged into each one, checking them one by one.

“Honey, what are you doing?” Klein asked, leaning in to peek at her screen.

“I can’t remember which server we used to play on,” Whitney muttered.

“Klein, do you remember?” she asked.

Klein didn’t answer, and just grinned a little wider. “Let’s eat first. Gotta think about the babies. Staring at the screen isn’t good for them.”

With that, ignoring Whitney’s surprised yelp, he scooped her up and carried her straight to the dining room.

It was like carrying Whitney was the most natural thing in the world for him.

James watched the two of them, looking genuinely pleased to see how close they were.

Whitney blushed, and shot Klein a glare.

“Dad, I’m going to pick George up from the hospital this afternoon. He’s recovered and said he wants to come back to Manor,” Whitney said.

James let out a snort. “Has he finally sorted out all that mess of his?”

“He can come back by himself, but I don’t want him bringing any outsiders with him. As long as it doesn’t affect us, that fine,” James added.

Honestly, he was hoping Sabrina wouldn’t come back either.

Every time she showed up, she’d just start picking on Whitney, and he was honestly tired of hearing about it.

“Yeah, George said he’s coming back alone. None of them even know he’s getting discharged. Don’t worry. There are peo guarding the villa. No outsiders are getting in,” Whitney reassured him.

James nodded in satisfaction. ‘George’s a disappointment, but at least Klein’s reliable,’ he thought.

“Whit, if Sabrina ever comes back, you don’t have to deal with her. Just ignore her,” James said.

Whitney nodded obediently.

‘Like I’d bother with her, Whitney thought. ‘With two babies on the way, the last thing I need is to get worked up over her.’

George came home looking worn out. He’d already heard the news. Whitney, who had been supposed to be his daughter-in law, had ended up as his sister-in-law, and now she was pregnant with twins.

His feelings were complicated. He felt happy for his Klein, but also a bit conflicted.

“Klein, you really hit the jackpot,” George said.

Klein raised his eyebrows. “Come on, George, you’re lucky too. You’ve got two sons, with plenty of chances for daughters-in- law in the future.”

When it came to killing the vibe, nobody could beat Klein.

George’s expression soured.
