Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 509

The new wife grabbed the little girl by the collar, lifting her like a chick until her face turned red. “She's my daughter now, and I'll discipline her however I see fit. If you can't stand to watch, then take her with you.”

“Okay, that's a wrap. Cut!” Director Ward shouted through his megaphone to the cast and crew on set.

Yvonne's several emotionally charged scenes had required a few retakes, but overall, her performance was commendable.

During her early days training as an officer, Yvonne had been on murder cases and had interacted with inmates on death row.

No one is born evil. Each of those criminals had their own tragic story that led them down the wrong path.

Half a month later, Yvonne’s scenes for the film were officially completed.

On the day she wrapped, she was surprised to see Thomas on set.

“Congratulations on wrapping,” Thomas said, presenting her with a bouquet of flowers his assistant had ordered.

“Thank you, Mr. Taylor.” Yvonne maintained a polite yet distant demeanor with Thomas on set.

“Didn't you wrap up your scenes a while ago?” Yvonne asked, holding the bouquet.

“I came back for a few reshoots,” Thomas explained. “Do you have time for lunch? To celebrate you finishing your part.”

At that moment, the set was bustling with people. If Yvonne refused, she would seem ungrateful, which would be a direct snub to the A-list actor.

“Sure,” Yvonne agreed with a smile.

Thomas chose a high-end restaurant not far from the set. They sat in a private room by a window, from which they could vaguely see the people bustling around the filming location.

After taking the menu from the waiter and asking for Yvonne’s input, Thomas began to order.
