“Are you tired?” Bennett asked. “Finish this, then get some rest.”

“Mm-hmm.” Yvonne took the glass of milk and sat on the edge of the bed to drink it. Once she was done, she flopped back onto the mattress, sighing, “I didn’t realize a ten-hour drive could be so exhausting.”

Bennett sat down beside her, stroking her hair affectionately.

“Aren’t you going to sleep with me?” Yvonne asked, her clear eyes looking up at him.

Bennett chuckled at her question. “Of course.”

They lay down together on the large, comfortable bed, and Yvonne naturally nestled into his arms.

Holding her soft, warm body, his breathing grew ragged, and he leaned down to kiss her lips.

Their mouths met, their breaths mingling.
