Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 511

Thomas didn't look pleased, but he said nothing. He just stood there, watching the black Mercedes drive away.

The car left the hotel grounds, merged onto the main road, and disappeared into the flow of traffic.

“What were you and Thomas talking about just now?” Yvonne asked, glancing at the rearview mirror. She could still faintly see Thomas' figure, standing in the same spot.

“Nothing,” Bennett replied vaguely, turning the steering wheel.

Yvonne didn't press the issue, changing the subject to share some funny stories from the set.

After leaving the city, the car entered the highway. The drive to Istra would take more than ten hours.

“If you get tired, take a nap. I'll wake you when we get home,” Bennett said.

“You're not tired from driving, so I'm certainly not tired from just sitting here,” Yvonne said, turning her head to gaze at him intently.

In her past life, the one thing she wanted most before she died was to see him one more time.

It was so good to have the chance to see him again, to be able to look at him whenever and for however long she wanted.

“You're trying to distract me from driving,” Bennett said, glancing at her. Their eyes met for a brief moment, his pupils filled with a gentle helplessness and deep affection.

Yvonne stuck her tongue out at him before turning back, sitting properly in her seat so as not to disturb his driving.

Soft music played in the car. Yvonne hadn't been sleepy, but the music gradually lulled her, and she leaned back in the comfortable seat, drifting off before she knew it.

Bennett pulled the car into a service area.

The car came to a stop, and Yvonne woke up.

She rubbed her eyes and asked the man beside her, “Are we here?”

“No, we're at a rest stop. Let's get out and stretch. It's not good to sit in the car for too long.” Bennett then unbuckled her seatbelt and half-carried her out of the car.

Yvonne, bundled in her thick coat and wearing a mask, stretched her arms out lazily.
