Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 522

“Hey, where are you going?” Letitia called out instinctively.

“To the auditorium, to hear the leadership speak.” Yvonne tossed the words over her shoulder and followed them out of the classroom.

As April led a few students through the hallway, she happened to spot the school’s Executive Vice President.

The Vice President was hosting officials from the Municipal Bureau.

April told the students to go on ahead to the auditorium while she approached the Vice President and greeted the officials.

One of the officials from the Municipal Bureau happened to be the one who had overseen Yvonne’s undercover mission and was soon to be transferred to a higher department. When they mentioned Yvonne, they couldn’t help but sigh with regret.

Such a young and brilliant female officer—what a loss.

“Mr. Lee. Mr. Turner.” April walked up to them. After a brief greeting, she smiled casually and joked, “What are you two discussing? Don't tell me it's another state secret. Should I make myself scarce?”

“You and your jokes. We’re standing in a busy hallway. What kind of secrets could we possibly discuss here?” Mr. Lee said, then let out a long sigh. “We were just talking about Yvonne. Bruce raised a fine child. It’s such a shame.”

Mr. Lee then turned to Mr. Turner. “April was Yvonne’s advisor. Back when that girl dropped out for her mission, April, being a mentor who cherished her talent, came to see me countless times. She was giving me such a headache that I finally dropped a hint, telling her Yvonne was a dedicated officer.”

“Mr. Lee, you hinted at that?” April looked puzzled, then slapped her forehead in frustration. “Oh, I must have been too dense. I didn't catch your hint at all. I just thought you were trying to comfort me.”

Mr. Lee waved his hand dismissively. “What’s past is past. Let’s not dwell on it. The anniversary celebration should be starting. Let's head over.”

Mr. Lee and April then escorted Mr. Turner toward the school auditorium.
