Sorry for Your Loss, It's Me, I'm the Loss novel Chapter 898

Her health had been poor lately, and her mind often felt foggy. She kept thinking back to when she was Bennett's girlfriend, when everyone respected and fawned over her. She could spend as she pleased at any of the Thompson Group's businesses, squandering money without a second thought.

She had been Bennett's girlfriend for so long, and their relationship had been so stable. How could he have suddenly had a change of heart and fallen for that little tramp, Yvonne?

Yolanda had been forced to marry that useless illegitimate son, Eden Monroe, only to get divorced and have an abortion at five months pregnant.

She had suffered so much, yet that bitch Yvonne was pregnant with Bennett's child, happily preparing to become a mother.

"Let's go inside. Our appointment with Dr. Powell is at ten, and we don't want to be late. She has surgery this afternoon," Mrs. Walker urged.

Mrs. Walker and Yolanda entered the hospital and, without needing to wait, went straight into Dr. Powell's office.

Dr. Powell briefly asked about Yolanda's current condition and then sent them for an ultrasound and blood tests.

The results came back in the afternoon. As Dr. Powell reviewed the reports, her expression grew increasingly grave.

Seeing this, Mrs. Walker's heart sank. "Dr. Powell, was there a problem with the abortion? How is my daughter's health?"

"The procedure itself was fine. The uterus was cleaned out thoroughly, and she seems to be recovering reasonably well. From a gynecological standpoint, there are no issues. However, some of her other test results are abnormal. I'm not an expert in this area, so I can't say for sure. I recommend you consult a specialist in internal medicine."

With that, Dr. Powell separated the gynecological reports from the others and handed them to Mrs. Walker.

"Her kidney function has significantly declined. If it isn't treated promptly, her kidney will necrotize, and she'll need another transplant."

After speaking, the doctor glanced at Yolanda's blood type and shook his head with a sigh. It could take years for a patient with a common blood type to find a donor kidney. For someone with a rare type like hers, it was practically impossible.

The doctor couldn't even imagine how they had found a donor for Yolanda's last transplant.

Yolanda was hospitalized again, and Mrs. Walker was so worried her hair was nearly turning white overnight.

Once Yolanda's kidney function began to decline, it was impossible for it to return to a healthy state. If they could get her current condition under control, it would be one thing. But if they couldn't, and her condition continued to worsen, her kidney would fail and necrotize. Then, her only options would be another transplant or death.
