Chapter 139 The Ladies Fight
Yet another disadvantage. This was unbelievable.
Estelle placed a piece of meat on Evan’s plate with a grin. “Have a bite of the grilled meat I’ve made, Evan. It’s great. Bet you didn’t think I could cook, huh? You’re in for a treat!”
He smiled back at her and was about to say something, but another lady put more food on his plate. “Meat? That’s greasy. You should have more greens, Evan.”
“No, meat!”
“No, greens!”
Sylvie and Estelle were glaring at each other. Moments later, Evan’s plate was filled with food, thanks to them.
Artemisia couldn’t believe what she was seeing. ‘Whoa, this is insane,’ she thought. ‘It’s just a simple meal. Oh, so that’s why Dr. Norwood wanted me to stay.’
She gave Evan an understanding look. If she had to face something like this alone, she’d get driven mad.
Dinner came to an end, and Evan asked Artemisia to stay. Artemisia said yes, and Estelle followed when she went to her room.
“Did you pick up any moves that can quickly put someone to sleep when you were overseas, Artemisia?” Estelle asked.
“Not exactly. Sleeping pills aside, I do know a face massage technique that helps with sleeping. I can teach you, if you want,” Artemisia offered. She thought Estelle was just trying to cure her own insomnia.
Estelle’s eyes lit up. “That would be awesome!”
Estelle came uninvited, so Evan didn’t train for the whole day. He’d planned to wake up earlier to make up for the missed day.
Alas, Sylvie followed him straight into his room, holding a blanket. “I think it’s time we sleep together, Evan. We’ve been living together for a while now.”
Artemisia heard that. ‘For a while? It’s barely been twelve hours!’
Evan was going to say something, but someone interrupted, “My god, my room’s freezing. I want to sleep with you, Ev-” Estelle stopped abruptly. “What?” The sight of Sylvie stunned her.
Estelle was holding a blanket as well, and she barely wore anything. Sylvie’s gaze turned colder than ice. “What are you doing here?”
“That’s my line! What are you doing here? And you’re holding a blanket!”
That was the cue. The ladies started fighting again. They always got into a fight every time they met.
Evan had had enough of it, so he slammed the door shut. His voice carried through the air. “Go back to your rooms. I’m going to sleep.”
The ladies wouldn’t do that. Instead, they kept a close watch on each other, just in case either tried to sneak into

Evan’s room while the other was gone.
Neither refused to back down. Thus, they didn’t return to their rooms. Rather, they slept on the ground in front of Eyan’s room. Even so, they never took their eyes off each other.
Soon, it was late at night. Yet, the ladies were still wide awake, sleep eluding them.
Eventually, Estelle couldn’t hold on any longer. She yawned as sleep came for her. “Are you sure you don’t want to sleep, Sylvie? I do.”
A sneer curled Sylvie’s lips. “You go ahead and get some rest. I’m still wide awake.” She chuckled in her mind. Too young, too easy, girl. It’s not even that late.’
“Fine, but I just picked up a face massage technique that helps with aging. You want to give it a try, Sylvie?”
That got Sylvie’s attention, and she looked surprised. “You? Massage? At your age? Guess there’s no harm in trying out.” She wasn’t planning on getting any sleep tonight.
Estelle held back her laughter as she approached Sylvie and began massaging her face. Sylvie fell asleep in
moments.
“Whoa, it worked.” Estelle didn’t seem to think it would, but Sylvie was already sound asleep. A mischievous grin slipped onto Estelle’s lips. “She’s out. I’m coming, Evan.”
And so, Estelle opened the room’s door and snuck in with the same grin on her face.
