Chapter 140 Inside Evan’s Room

Evan would meditate upon the Ninefold Arcane Arts during his rest. The Ninefold Arcane Arts covered everything and was a deeply complex art to master. He needed time to go through it.

Suddenly, something rustled. Someone had snuck into his room. Evan’s eyes snapped open. What he saw sobered him up. A woman was lying on his bed, and she was barely wearing anything. The scent she radiated stirred something inside Evan.

Estelle had come in, much to Evan’s shock. “What are you doing in my room? It’s the dead of the night!”

Estelle chuckled into his ear. “I did say my room was freezing, and I needed yours to warm me up.”

Evan was concerned, but he couldn’t move, not when Estelle was still on his bed. “Where’s Sylvie?” he asked. She and Estelle came holding their blankets. They both wanted to sleep with him, but only one got in.

“Oh, her? She fell asleep.” Estelle added, “Sound asleep.” Oh, she was smug about it. After all, she made it happen. She put Sylvie to sleep. Still, it wasn’t as if she would tell Evan about her scheming.

Evan couldn’t do anything about that. “Then, you should go back to your room as well. It’s late.”

Estelle blinked and pretended she didn’t hear him. Instead, she closed in on Evan. “Is that a hint, Evan?”

Evan wanted to scream. This was ridiculous. He didn’t give her any hint. He meant it literally, but she was twisting his words.

Estelle started to arch her back. “I had no idea you fancied me, Evan.” Then, she started giggling, but she kept it quiet. “You haven’t even done it with Sylvie, and she’s been living with you for so long. Yet, you’re in such a rush to get to me. I wonder why.”

Estelle’s hair cascaded like a waterfall, longer strands tickling Evan’s body, twirling around his heart. The room was dim, yet Evan saw the mischievous glint in her eyes. To make matters worse, the fabric she wore barely covered her body.

Estelle’s legs were long and straight. There was no denying her youthfulness. Her skin gleamed like gemstones and easily caught Evan’s attention, but he took a deep breath. This was embarrassing. A young lady just flirted with him.

Evan donned a stern look. “Get out of my bed, or I’m calling your father!” he warned.

“No! I know you won’t do it! And my folks want me to date you!”

That stopped Evan short. Estelle was right. Her parents were crazier than her about this. She blinked. “You don’t have to do anything. Just let me hold you the whole night.” Then, she leaned down and tried to hold Evan.

Estelle’s bouncing chest caught all of Evan’s attention, but he still got up and slept on the ground. He couldn’t leave because Estelle would hound him. If Sylvie woke up, he could say goodbye to any sleep. “Fine, stay if you want. The bed’s yours.”

Evan warned, “And don’t come down!” He didn’t want her to pull anything else. Estelle listened to him and stayed in bed.
