Sorry Too Late (by J.J. Twelve) novel Chapter 193

Chapter 193 The Norwood Family Grovels

The Norwood family had been playing the Solomons for fools the entire time.

They had played Gabriel’s father like a fiddle. And now, they had done the same thing to him! There was no way he was going to allow that to stand!

Did they really think that Gabriel and Cain had raised all this ruckus just for a drakeblood gemstone?

Although it indeed was a very precious stone with unique qualities, the theft of the drakeblood gemstone was not enough to make both father and son go through all that hassle.

To put it simply, this was a matter of pride.

To people as powerful as Gabriel, their pride and dignity were above all else.

In fact, one could even say that their pride meant the world to them!

Everyone present started to backtrack. Gabriel’s fury was so tangible that it was as if they could literally see his murderous intent dyeing the world red.

They were aware that he was going to mete out justice for the Solomons once the truth was revealed.

It was likely that the Norwood family would merely be one of the many names that could only be found in history books after this.

Thus, none of them wanted to be dragged into that disaster.

Hazel, Roxanne, and Anya were also of the same mind.

They were only at the Norwood Residence out of worry for Evan.

Now that he was fine, there was no reason for them to linger.

“Leave, I dare you!” Gabriel’s abrupt roar exploded through the air.

The Four Martial Servants behind him all took a step forward.

Boom!

The ground shook as if there was an earthquake, causing everyone to sway and stagger on their feet.

Soon, another wave of terrifying aura fell upon them.

Everyone felt as though the air in the hall had gone thin. They felt crushed by the immense pressure.

They mechanically jerked their heads to look at Gabriel, their eyes bright with fear.

That was when they knew that the apple did not fall far from the tree.

As Cain’s son, Gabriel had inherited a lot from Cain, including his volatile temper.

People with short fuses were already a pain to be around. However, it was the fact that Cain and Gabriel had the power to destroy whatever or whoever that was the source of their ire that made them utterly horrifying to be around.

After all, none of them could tell just what Gabriel would do once the truth was revealed.

Would he remain rational and only punish the Norwood family, or would he lash out at everyone here?

They had no idea.

Evan shot Gabriel a sharp look.

He had already provided concrete evidence of his innocence. If Cain still wanted to attack him, then he could not be blamed for…

“Everyone here must be a witness to the consequences of cheating the Solomons.”

Gabriel’s eyes gleamed with a dark and horrifying look that promised death.

A sharp intake of breath echoed in the hall.

The Norwood family broke out in fits of cold sweat as soon as those words fell from his lips.

Darius was gasping like a fish that had been out of the water for too long.

Alice, Beverly, and Colette were crying in fear.

They were doomed!

Gabriel was going to punish them.

Although Hazel, Roxanne, and Anya were startled, they eventually calmed down.

Thankfully, Gabriel’s rationality was still intact despite his anger, as he had no intention of making everyone suffer the consequences alongside the Norwood family.

Kinsey and the other journalists gulped as they realized what Gabriel was really after. He was going to borrow the media to make it known to the public just what sort of severe consequences would await them if they ever made an enemy out of the Solomons.

Thump!

James was the first to fall to his knees as he cried out in remorse, “Mr. Gabriel, we are sorry! We’re willing to apologize and make up for all your losses, but please let Darius go! He is the last of my bloodline!”

“Yes, that’s right! We only ask for our son to live. In return, we’ll offer up everyone in the Norwood family!”

Josephine threw herself to the floor as well.

Thump! Thump!

They slammed their heads against the floor as they groveled, uncaring of the fact that their foreheads were bruised and bleeding.

Or perhaps it wasn’t that they didn’t care, it was that they didn’t dare to stop.

Alice, Beverly, and Colette also started to cry for mercy with tears streaming down their cheeks.

Soon, every single member of the Norwood family was on their knees.

It was clear to them that the crime of cheating the Solomons was far greater than the theft of a drakeblood gemstone.

They had committed a grievous offence, and there was no way they could survive this.

All they could do was beg Gabriel to allow at least one of them to stay alive so that their bloodline would live on. That person would be Darius.

There would still be hope for the family as long as Darius survived this ordeal.

Evan silently watched as the Norwood family groveled.
