Chapter 225 The Norwood Family’s Disbelief

Chapter 225 The Norwood Family’s Disbelief

Hazel refused to believe that Evan would remain indifferent after witnessing what happened to the Norwood family.

In the minds of Hazel, Roxanne, and Anya, Evan’s attitude was akin to playing with fire.

He clearly had absolutely no concept of how serious Cain’s anger was.

He probably thought they could still protect him as they did three years ago, and that he would get a

scot-free.

He could keep himself safe, improve his status, and even exert control over them.

Did he seriously think that was even possible?

He was biting off more than he could chew.

He was a complete headcase!

However, he would behave once they sent him the pictures of the miserable fate that befell the Norw family.

Soon, photos and videos of dead members of the Norwood family were sent to Evan’s phone.

Anya said in a threatening voice, “Evan, behave and apologize to Hazel now, or you’ll be met with the same fate as those in the videos in four days!” 1

Evan merely sneered in indifference.

Were they trying to scare him?

How was it any of his business what happened to the Norwood family?

However, it did remind him that he had yet to visit the Norwood Residence after the family’s fall from

grace.

There was no way he could miss the chance to kick them when they were down.

Soon, he arrived at the Norwood family’s new home, which was an apartment building that was rotting in neglect.

The Norwood family was now suffering for their crimes. They were blacklisted by everyone. It had gotten so bad that they could not even find a proper place to live.

Quite a few of them even killed themselves to escape, unable to bear such humiliation.

James and the others had gone numb.

Suddenly, they heard the sounds of a familiar set of footsteps.

They were stunned by what they saw when they looked up.

Chapter 225 The Norwood Family’s Disbelief

The newcomer was none other than Evan.

It was the person who did this to the family!

“You bastard! How dare you come here after what you’ve done! We fed and sheltered you. Yet, you us just for your greedy ambitions. Calling you a bastard isn’t enough to describe how vile you are. Y the disgrace of the family, a total loser!

“You’re an absolute traitor! We should have killed you instead of keeping you around!”

James and Josephine started shouting and screaming after the shock faded, cursing Evan out with faces twisted in hatred.

It had been two days since any of them had eaten. So, their faces were pallid.

However, color returned to their cheeks the second they saw Evan. It was as if they’d taken a shot of adrenaline when he wasn’t looking.

Still, none of their shouting could faze him. After all, Evan did not care.

“James, it seems you haven’t been doing too hot,” Evan said snidely as he walked closer.

James wasn’t the only one who had turned into a beggar. Evan’s triplet sisters, the proud queens of th industry, were also nigh unrecognizable.

Their messy hair was draped across their shoulders, making them seem akin to ghosts. Gone was the arrogance.

The one among them all who had changed the most was Darius. He used to be the Norwood family’s heir, a man of great stature.

Now, he was just one of the many dirty beggars that could be found on the streets.

When the family noticed the glint in Evan’s eyes, they shot him murderous glares.

James was so furious that he roared, “What right do you have to laugh at us? Do you think you’re all that just because you were used as a tool?”

Alice, Beverly, and Colette looked at each other and chimed in, saying, “That’s right! Anyone can laugh at us, but not you!”

“Oh?” Evan was surprised to hear them say that. “Why can’t I?”

Darius chuckled. “Evan, do you really think you did this to us?”

“Did I not? I had every evidence proving the Norwood family’s theft and consequent scam-”

“Hahahaha!”

The Norwood family broke out in laughter before he could finish speaking

“As if!” All laughter was cut out as they abruptly shouted in anger.

“Don’t think we know how you got the evidence. You got it all from my competitors! They only used to take me down! How else could a nobody like you get his hands on all of that? Don’t be a fool!” Da screamed in maniacal anger.

There was an especially peculiar glint in Evan’s eyes now.

Who were these competitors Darius was talking about?

He had no idea who they were.

Ivana had collected all that evidence.

Did Darius just place Ivana in the same league as him?

What a joke!

As if Darius were worthy of such an honor.

Evan nearly imploded trying to keep all that laughter in.

It seemed then that the fools of the Norwood family actually thought that their competitors had a hand

their downfall.
