Chapter 284 His Real Birthday

The gifts were priceless. Some of them were ancient recipes and herbs. The price tag was definitely not money. Evan didn’t need most of them, but he was still pleased by them.

He thought, ‘Hazel, Anya, Roxanne, this is my birthday! My actual birthday is on the third of September!’

Sylvie then presented her present. It was a token washed by time, and a powerful word was engraved on

its surface. Stanton.

That token was the emblem of the Stantons in Imperia’s elite circle. She’d given Evan her most precious

item.

Estella gave Evan 1000 origami cranes. “I’m still a student, so I can’t afford these presents. But I folded these cranes all by myself!”

Evan patted her head and thanked her. The value of the gift didn’t matter. What mattered was the thought.

“Now that we’ve given all our presents, it’s time to start the show, Mr. Norwood.”

“A show?” Evan was surprised. Then he got the answer to his question.

The pool and swimsuit models were the answers. Evan couldn’t help but hesitate, but he quickly tossed it all behind. Yes, this party did stir something in him. He wasn’t a saint.

Anyone would want to do something with a hundred swimsuit models, especially if they were all around him.

“Alright, time to go all out!” Evan laughed heartily and took off his shirt, revealing his powerful torso. Then, he jumped into the pool.

The ladies jumped in after him. Even Ivana joined the party. The swimsuit models all huddled around Evan. This was something out of a sensual movie, and all these women came here of their own volition.

Thaddeus and his family were still waiting for Evan. They were all craning their necks, anticipating his arrival. Alas, Evan didn’t show up.

Thaddeus’ face fell. “What’s going on? Where is Evan?”

Wendy frowned. Her gut told her something had gone wrong. Evan was supposed to wed Roxanne today. but he didn’t show up no matter how long they’d waited.

Roxanne was in her room, and she too thought something was amiss. She was already in her bridal gown, her veil attached.

‘He’s not even here? But he’s supposed to take this seriously! He should’ve come early!’

Something struck Thaddeus. He explained, “Remember, Evan’s not the same lowly man we once knew. Roxanne should feel lucky she’s marrying him. Of course, he can run late.”

Hm, you’re right. We can wait. He’s not technically late yet.”

The Leightons kept on waiting, oblivious to the fact that Evan was having fun with scores of swimsuit models in the Lounge. He wasn’t coming

Time slipped by, and the promised hour was up. Yet, Evan still didn’t show up. The Leightons couldn’t stay cool anymore.

Wendy and Sadie’s expressions fell darker. The hour was up, and Evan still wasn’t here. No one could accept this

Thaddeus even called Stefan “What’s going on, Stefan? The hour is almost up! Where is Evan?”

Stefan knew this would happen. He sneered. “I don’t know. I’ve done my job of informing him. Perhaps I’ll give him a call?
