Chapter 285 Ignorant Roxanne

Thaddeus was flabbergasted. “What?” Then, he called Evan.

Evan answered, “The Gilded Lounge. That’s where I’m at.” Then, he hung up. 1

Thaddeus called him again, but Evan had turned his phone off.

“What?” The Leightons couldn’t believe it. Their eyes were wide as saucers. Evan was partying in a private club on his wedding day. They wondered what his deal was.

Sadie didn’t look happy at all. “Did the Solbergs even tell him about the date? Who even throws a party at a club on his wedding day?”

Wendy was trembling. “And that’s the top club in the whole city. It’s fully reserved for six months.”

The Leightons gasped. Roxanne was incandescent under her veil. She cursed, “Are you mad, Evan? Do you even want to marry me? You’re messing with models on our wedding day?”

Roxanne clenched her teeth so hard, she thought she might crush them. She was already angry about failing her task, and now Evan was flirting on her wedding day. Her fury was nearly overwhelming her

mind.

Just then, she’d made a decision. Once Evan married her, she would make sure he was under her strict

control. She’d teach him a harsh lesson. She’d make sure she set up rules and enacted them with an iron

fist.

‘Hell is waiting for you, Evan!’ she thought. This marriage was Roxanne’s revenge.

“I think Evan wants us to see him. I’ll make a trip right now.” Thaddeus left the spot.

Sadie and Wendy went with him. “We’re going too.”

The trip was an uneasy one for the trio. Thaddeus felt something ominous. Something was telling him a great shock was lying in wait for him.

Back in the Lounge, Sylvie and Estelle huddled around Evan right after Evan put his phone down. Then, they asked in curiosity. “Who was that, Evan?”

Evan didn’t want to say, but he met their eyes and answered in the end, “No one important. Some idiot’s trying to push me into marrying his granddaughter, and he’s rushing me.” He smiled.

That ruffled all the ladies’ feathers. This was unbelievable. Someone was trying to hard sell their granddaughter to Evan? The cheek. The gall! The whole city’s most famous ladies were gathered here, and they knew they had no chance with Evan.

Yet, a no-name shrimp thought they had a shot?

Marriage was off the table for these ladies. The best they could do was please Evan. They’d do their best

1/2

to do that. Maybe then he would give them a moment of his time.

Heck, all they could hope for was to have a one-night stand with Evan, how, someone fuc inferior to them wanted to marry him?

It was madness. It was unbelievable. It was infuriating

“Tell us who it is, Mr. Norwood. We just want to talk.”

“Yeah. Is she hotter than us? Is her family better than ours?”

“Honestly, the thought alone infuriates me! Who’s the wench, and how dare sher

Jememiah, Ginevra, and Serena were livid. They were no match for Sylvie or Estelle, but they wouldn’t allow a nobody to gloat at them. They demanded to see the woman.

“Ah, I know who it is…” Ivana put on a cryptic look.

Sylvie and Estelle exchanged a look. They, too, knew who it was.
