Chapter 320 Gabriel’s Death
Nightingale added, “We always complete our mission.” Her blade glinted.
Gabriel clutched his throat as he fell to the ground. Before he died, he gasped at the quartet. “I see. You’re doing this for Norwood…”
Realization hit him then, and so did regret. He spent his dying breath in disbelief and dismay. Perhaps he could’ve lived if he hadn’t traveled to Silverton demanding Evan’s head on a spike.
Perhaps he could’ve escaped his untimely death if he had found out that Evan had cut off ties with the Solbergs and killed him sooner. 1
Life was filled with so many what-ifs, but there was no turning back time. Gabriel died ignobly. Nightingale and her team members frowned at the corpse.
“Norwood?” That name stirred something in them. The secret powerhouse guarding the Stantons had ties with the Imperia Norwood family. Alas, Gabriel had died. Otherwise, they could’ve squeezed some answers out of him.
They had no idea who wanted Gabriel dead. Their higher-ups gave them this mission. A moment later, Nightingale’s team disappeared.
Gabriel’s death soon spread across the city, and it was a bombshell. The elites of Silverton were shaken. Gabriel was Cain’s son, and now he was dead.
“The scene is hell on earth! Hundreds of them died! And their bodies were mangled!”
“Is that one of Gabriel’s Martial Servants? He’s missing half his body! He was a master, and he was destroyed too?

“Who even has that kind of power?”
Silverton was in an uproar. Every faction wanted to uncover the truth behind this gruesome scene. Gabriel’s mysterious death in Silverton could cause an upheaval in the city.
Although Gabriel did stir up a lot of trouble in Silverton when he was alive, his death would spell disaster for them all. Cain would never let his only son’s death go. Silverton’s streets would flow red with blood.
Back in No. 1, Evan’s phone got blasted with calls. The mayor, Ivana, and many more called him. Even Gaius was alerted. Evan took the call, and Gaius asked solemnly, “Did you do it, Evan?”
“Do what?” Evan was nonplussed.
“Gabriel’s dead.”
“What?” Evan was shocked. He didn’t see this coming. That guy threatened to kill him if he ever found an opening just a while ago, and now he was gone? “What happened?”
Gaius answered, “He died in his suite, and along with him were four Martial Servants and hundreds of bodyguards. Everyone tied to him had their bodies all mangled up.” He sent Evan a photo.
The sight was pure horror. Evan’s face turned stormy. “I didn’t do it. I’m not one for messy deaths.”
“That doesn’t matter. What matters is that Cain’s son is dead, and he died in the process of punishing you. You know what Cain will think,” Gaius said.
“Yes.” Evan sounded calm, but he was furious. “So I’m taking the fall again? Fine. He’s more than welcome to come after me if he thinks that I did it. I’ll deal with whatever he throws my way.’
Copter 320 Gobriefe Death
This was getting annoying. Still… “But who wanted Gabriel dead?”
