Chapter 331 Strangers in Plain Sight
Evan would never have imagined that simply stepping out of a car would lead Hazel and the other two to such wild conclusions.
To him, he was just getting out of the car. But to Hazel and her companions, there was far too much to take in.
Evan was dressed like a refined young gentleman as he stepped out of a one-of-a-kind Maybach while the mysterious woman was still seated inside the car, never showing her face.
Every detail stuck out with stunning clarity; each one leaving a lasting impact on their hearts.
Hazel and the others felt like they were losing their minds under the weight of so many shocking revelations.
All the things they had planned to say shriveled up and died in their throats.
“Hm?” Evan noticed the three of them standing at the entrance and instinctively tugged his lips into a frown. However, his displeasure quickly smoothed over.
He and Hazel had nothing to do with each other anymore. They were strangers. So it didn’t matter if they ran into each other. He felt nothing toward her.
He sauntered straight ahead.
As Evan approached, ripples of emotion crossed Hazel and the others’ faces,
Hazel, in particular, stepped forward without thinking. Her lips parted as she tried to call out, “E-”
However, Evan walked right past her before she could even say his full name. He didn’t spare her a glance. It was as if he didn’t know her at all.
Hazel froze where she stood. It was as though she’d turned to stone right then and there.
Roxanne and Anya, who were standing next to her, stared in disbelief. They couldn’t believe Evan would pretend not to recognize them.
They had so much they wanted to say to him.
Suddenly, they caught a faint scent in the air. It was subtle. Frankly, it was so faint that most people wouldn’t notice it at all.
Still, they did, and they could tell that it was perfume. A woman’s perfume. Combined with the woman still sitting in the car, everything became clear in an instant.
Another revelation struck them like lightning.
To them, this wasn’t just shocking. It was a blow to their egos. After they pieced the pieces together, the woman in the car and the trace of her scent lingering on Evan all pointed to one thing.
There was no doubt about it. Evan had someone new.
It wasn’t that they had never suspected Evan would have another woman. However, they had always believed he was only trying to make them jealous.
The idea that Evan couldn’t live without them had been deeply rooted in their minds.
They thought he couldn’t survive without Hazel. Alas, reality just gave them a harsh wakeup call.
Chapter 131 Strangers in Ficers Sight
Evan had divorced Hazel, and he had found someone new.
What was worse was that they didn’t even have the right to voice their displeasure about this new situating now that they were divorced.
It hurt. They felt as if knives were twisting in their hearts.
For the first time, they truly felt what it meant to lose someone completely.
They stared at Evan’s back, their lips bitten raw.
That figure was so familiar, and yet so painfully distant.
“Mr. Solberg, what is this about?” Evan asked bluntly.
“We’re the ones who came to see you,” Hazel interjected before Stefan could speak, cutting in as the three heiresses walked in.
Evan raised a brow but said nothing.
“Fine. Ms. Solberg, go ahead.”
The formality in his tone made Hazel clench her fists again.
Still, she spoke. “Evan, I know we’re already divorced, and maybe this isn’t appropriate… but I still want to apologize to you. I’m sorry.’
She bowed deeply.
