Chapter 922 It’s Because Of Him
Thank goodness for the defensive system the Beast God had provided.
Lucien watched the layer of droppings thickening on the energy shieid, his eyelids twitching violently.

“The defense system isn’t self–cleaning,” he remarked. “If those birds don’t leave and keep blasting away like this, our castle is going to be plunged into permanent darkness.”
“Why did they follow us all the way back?” Kieran asked. “Based on their habits, they shouldn’t leave those cliffs so easily.”
“It’s because of him.”
Alaric walked downstairs with Marcus and Edric, holding the container with the little green bird. Every eye in the room instantly locked onto the vessel in Alaric’s hand.
Corvin gasped in shock. “Isn’t that the little guy Drake caught?”
“It is,” Edric nodded. “When the swarm arrived, we were in the lab. This little bird started screaming its head off. We’re betting the big ones are all here for him.”
Everyone turned their gaze toward Drake.
Drake rubbed his nose sheepishly, looking everywhere but at them.
“I… I didn’t know he was that important to the flock.” He had assumed the bird was just another random hatchling.
“So what do we do now?” Emma asked. “We can’t just let them use the castle as a public restroom indefinitely.”
Even if the Beast God’s shield was impenetrable, being buried under a mountain of bird droppings was a distinct aesthetic
nightmare.
“I’ll go out and kill them all,” Drake suggested.
Wiping out the flock wasn’t difficult. Lucien and Calum had only stopped them from doing it earlier to preserve the resource. But now that they were under siege, why show mercy?
“Absolutely not,” Calum interjected, vetoing the idea immediately. “If you kill those birds, how are we supposed to make Emma’s skincare serum? These birds are essentially our future cash cows. We are not killing them. Period.”
Lucien nodded. “Marshal is right.”
Marcus chimed in, “Drake, get your head straight. If you kill my future allowance, you are going to pay me back out of your own pocket.”
Malrik sighed. “Then should we just toss the chick out and let the flock take him back?”
“Throw him out?” Alaric adjusted his glasses, his gaze lingering darkly on the squawking hatchling. “If this bird is so vital to the swarm, his droppings are likely far more potent than the others. We’re keeping him.”
“But if we don’t, we’re going to be buried alive in crap!” Corvin pointed at the shield, which was rapidly becoming opaque.
As they debated, a sudden gale erupted outside. A massive tornado surged through the sky, scooping up the entire flock and

Outside the castle, Gaellard watched the tornado carry the birds away.
Covered in filth, he let out a massive sigh of relief. Then he glanced at Andre, who remained spotlessly clean.
“Hurry up and clean the droppings off this shield so we can go see Emma,” Gaellard grumbled. “We actually helped her out this time, right? She shouldn’t kick us out immediately after this.”
“Hopefully not,” Andre agreed. He felt they had earned some points today..
The Beast God had told them, “If you don’t know how to make a female happy, keep your mouth shut and do the work.”
Find out what she needs and do it.
If she’s in danger, solve it immediately.
That was the only way to win her over.
Inside the castle, the group watched the birds vanish into the funnel cloud.
Kieran didn’t even need to ask. “That’s Gaellard.”
Just as he spoke, everyone’s lightcores began chiming in unison. It was an emergency broadcast from the Central Planet government.
“JOINT ALERT: Central Planet Meteorological Bureau & Bio–Control Center. EMERGENCY SHELTER ADVISORY!
“An unidentified avian swarm is currently over Central Planet, conducting large–scale ‘precision payload drops‘ centered around the Government Plaza. Residents are advised to stay indoors, retrieve all laundry, and close all windows. IMPORTANT: Do not look up at the sky, and under no circumstances should you open your mouth to express shock.”
Meanwhile, inside the building…
The usually solemn, elite atmosphere of the Great Hall had descended into unprecedented chaos.
“Quick! Activate the maximum–level defense protocols!” the security commander screamed, staring at his monitors in despair.
It was too late.
The tornado hadn’t just brought the birds; the wind pressure had created a perfect aerodynamic “funnel.”
Tens of thousands of green birds were being spun in circles, and the combination of sheer terror and mo
