"People in this world who don't have a clue about their own arrogance are a dime a dozen... If the guy in that private room really is Uncle Eddie, well, that's somewhat understandable, I guess. Strutting around like a peacock with the Ingram name behind him, I bet he thinks he can do anything."
"Whoa there, kiddo, don't jump to conclusions. I, for one, do not believe that your Uncle Eddie would ever do something as low as keeping a mistress on the side..."
"Let's just drop it, Grandpa... I've sent Martin to pull the footage from the restaurant's cameras. Once we have the evidence, maybe then you'll believe me."
"What the hell are you trying to pull, boy!!"
"I'm not trying to pull anything... You trust your son but not your grandson, huh? I've been listening to that voice for over twenty years, and it's damn similar to my father's... I don't believe I could be mistaken."
"Is this a matter of belief? Even if it's true... stirring up a storm isn't going to do anyone any good."
"This has nothing to do with me, but that woman, she messed with my little sister... and to think she dared to be so vicious, thinking she had the Ingram family to back her up. As the man at the helm of the Ingram family, I have to step in."
"After all is said and done, you just can't stand the thought of your little sis taking the slightest bit of grief! Fine, if you want to look for evidence, go ahead. But don't get ahead of yourself; you're still the younger generation! Bring me the evidence... I'll deal with your Uncle Eddie myself!"
Sebastian agreed, but a cold smirk played at the corner of his mouth. This was far from simple. But he did need to keep his granddad calm. After all, getting worked up at his age was no good. And sure enough, the old 'lure the snake out of its hole' trick was still effective. Yolanda was clearly scared...
When Sebastian returned to the private room, he didn't say much. Stephanie had already ordered the food; the fondue pot was bubbling away, the grill was sizzling. Seeing him return, she beamed, "Come on, Silver Fox, dig in... I've already started boiling the meat."
Sebastian's mood, previously dampened by earlier events, instantly lifted. Stephanie's presence had a real magic touch on him. He sauntered over with a slight smile and took the seat next to her, saying, "Is it good?"
"I've mixed the dips myself. Try some with your fork, see if you like it, Silver Fox."
